Last few flatground/curb sessions I've treated myself too haven't gone very well so I'm using that to justify setting up a new board.

Krooked Manderson 8.38
Thunder 149 w/ Bones Soft Bushings
Spitfire F4 99d 53 mm
Bones Super Reds

Mr. Plow slippers
been eyeing that deck/shape. how has it been for you?
while cool-guying is a real phenomenon, studies show that 83% of all cool-guying incidents can be attributed to the cool-guyee being an awkward weirdo

It's my second one and I'm definitely a fan. It's got a big square nose and tail that feels really good for kickflips. Since it's more of a full shape it feels closer to an 8.5 to an 8.38, at least to me. All around it's a real comfortable board.

AWS Joey Guevara
8.25 width
32.25 length
14.25 wheelbase

Thunder 149 titanium
Acid Chemical Company REM formula, 101 duro, 55 mm

I set this up after a short stint on a Scumco & Sons David Abair.  The Scumco had a super flat, short and square tail that I didn't much like. Now I am on this and, after the Scumco, the tail feels very steep. The pop is good, but I am still adjusting.  Any thoughts from the group on what impact switching to forged independents might have with regard to the steep kicks and pop?

Ok

Im assuming you're talking about the latest Scumco decks, the PS ones. I had the same issue with the Abair, it was actually the only one of the PS decks I've tried that I didn't really like right away. I was ghost popping all over the place on indys, ventures, and films - I just couldn't get comfortable on such a short tail. What ended up kind of fixing it for me was switching to 8.38 mini logos. The trucks being wide and low fixed the ghost pop and "unlocked" the deck for me. It's not my favorite from the line, but I do like it now. So if you still have yours, maybe look into trying a set of ML or another low truck on it.

I put this together last night.

Pass~Port Sexy Cobra
8.25" x 31.75" 14.25" wb
Indy 149 forged hollows
Loophole 54mm Jesse Narvaez wheels
Bronson raw bearings
Classic grip

I've been interested in pass port for a while and even though the last thing I need is another deck when I saw this on sale at Lucre Industries for 25% off I had to grab it. It's flatter than I expected (very flat for a bbs deck) with medium kicks so I decided to put indys on it.

Also been wanting to try loophole/NFG wheels for a while and Damon from Library skate shop was kind enough to hook me up with a free loophole shirt too so shout out to Library, sick ass shop. I found out yesterday that I was likely exposed to the Rona all weekend (I work in a hospital) so I might get quarantined. If that happens I'm for sure going to put some of these setups through their paces as much as the weather permits.

I wish they made smaller boards. When I think menace tech, I think 7.5 (7.75 is acceptable, although I tend to get real weird w/truck sizes on 7.75).
Anyways, dope setup, dope company

I think he does do smaller boards from time to time, but I know this woodshop order didn't turn out exactly how he wanted it. Shoot him an email and ask, he might have something older in a smaller size. He's always been super nice and answered all my questions fast. If you're interested in more than just the throwback graphics you could also look into Politic, they do smaller sizes on the same wood although I don't know if any of them are flat concave. I know their Pawns of Babylon deck is on the E (flat) mold but I don't think I've seen it smaller than 8.

I’ve only seen that politic deck in 8 and up. Good to know it’s the same shape. Normally politic would be way too steep for me

Had this Tershy Couch shape lying around since the Black Friday Crailtap deal and wanted a flat ground set up for Corona Times. Not everyone's idea of a tech setup but it is for me with the sub 14" WB.

151 Thunders, 1/8"  risers, 54mm 101 SF tablets, indy black bearings.

This could go in the Covid set up thread, 9"+ thread or the egg thread but I'll leave it here ha ha...

Idk
