I posted the setup on the left awhile ago, everything was new. I finished skating the deck today and gave it to a homeless kid who hangs out at the park and was riding some awful toy store deck with normal trucks and wheels. Also gave him some nuts and bolts. He was stoked on a real deck, and I was happy for him - he can be pretty good at skating.
That one was 8 x 31.5 x 14" and felt like I was standing on a totally flat deck at first, but I got used to it. I loved the dimensions and I'm pretty sure it helped me relearn some flip tricks. And honestly, even though I was skeptical of Chocolate wood, it felt really solid and sturdy the whole time I skated it. In the future I'll seek out more boards with the exact same dims.
The new board is another Chocolate, City series and another Yonnie Cruz, bought from a local shop. Little bigger, 8,125 x 31.625, but still with a 14" wheelbase. It also doesn't feel as flat. I set it up and skated it today, feels great. I'm still skating the Aces, Spitfire F4 conical fulls, Bones Swiss 6, and Bones 1/8 baseplates. Haven't had any issues with anything, the Aces are butter and I'm better at b/s slappies than I've ever been.
I'm curious to see if the slightly bigger dims will help with noseslides and tailslides. Going to try some other brands after this board, next one is a Habitat.
