Fucked up my heel 2 months ago and almost ready to start skating again. Set this up in anticipation.

Pass Port Skateboards 8.875
Independent 144 Stage 11 Reynolds block hollow trucks
Spitfire 58mm 99DU Formula Four conical full wheels
Bones reds
Adidas Lucas premiere
[close]

Looking good!
I’d ride that with some 159s but sure good anyways.

Where‘d you get your hands on the 58 conical fulls?
Would love another pair, mine are dying

Rode it down to the shops earlier and it feels pretty damn good. I ordered my wheels from Slam City Skates, where there are still a set available. Looks like you're in the states though... good luck with your search!

- Tensor Mag Lights, 5.5 I believe. They came in a box, so they're possibly an older model; I'm not sure if they're ATG or not

What's the baseplate look like? I can't really tell from the pics but the ATG baseplate will have just the little flare thing logo, the tens (lows) will have a "10" logo, and the older ones can be identified by them just straight up not turning and wheelbiting no matter how tight you have them. Another way to check is the axle length - ATG will be the traditional 8/8.25/8.5 while the tens/low will be the in-between like 8.125 or 8.375.

Show me dem titt...i mean basplates..  and I'll see if I can figure out wutchu workin wit.

snapped my "normal" board and set up this Polar i got on sale a while back

Polar Klez 8.3
Ace 44s
OJ 55s
Cons Bobby D Chucks

got a few pairs of Cons from Tactics for under 30 bucks b/c of some glitch, and i've been pretty surprised how easily they have broken in and how good they feel.  i wasn't feeling Cons (hate the way CTAS look), but these other models have made me a fan.

never really paid attention to wheelbase, but the WB on the Polar feels really long.  just starting to get used to it.

Have that same deck on standby. It's a 14.5 WB. Debating on Indy or ventures with the longer WB. Use to 14.25.
flat spotted 3 times in 2 weeks, other than that awesome wheels

FA Sean Pablo Buddha 8.25" x 31.79" with 14.12" WB.
Thunder 148 standards (had a good run with Ventures, just not the truck for me)
Spitfire F4 Radials 52mm 99a
Bones Swiss
MOB (I know the grip job isn't symmetric :( )
Thunder 1" hardware
Ed Templeton New Deal and Thrasher stickers

Cross post from the big board thread:

9” Boat shape from Santa Cruz. I watched a video on these and decided to try one. Steep kicks with the same concave for the nose and tail (slightly longer nose) 14.25wb
Thunder 161 with mini logo medium bushings
Spitfire F4 classics 54mm 99a
Mob grip
Rocking Ron’s bearings
Bender hardware

Skated this deck/truck combo for the first time yesterday and then again today.  I like it. The steep kicks take a little to get used to but ultimately make me pop a little higher. Being a big dude I like a stiff deck anyway. :o  The thunders feel good but I think it’s because I’m using a barrel bottom bushing. They take away that immediate wheelbite feeling of thunders. I’m coming from Indy 169s and the thunders are more stable and give me more confidence and they’re still surfy enough. I can still do slappies, skate the bowl, and do my limited flatground and ledge tricks.

Beautiful setup man. Probably one of my favorite recent graphics from them. Always wanted to try their 8.3 shape with 44s.

That shape is very B16 looking (the baker 8.475 shape, AKA my favorite shape ever); I might just have to try one out. If they ever decide to make one in 8.4 or 8.5 I’ll probably cop; I think the smallest size they make in the boat shape right now is 8.6, a bit too hefty for me.

Hey hey buddy, for all you know the shop could've made an error. BF said the tens (lows) have a 10 on them, which is what mine say. And also, fuck off with your bullshit ya fuckin moron.

$lave Dicola 8.75”
Indy GT 159 Hollow
Spitfire F4 conical full 56mm

Really stoked to try this setup, bigger than what I usually skate but wanted to get a Danny Dicola board since seeing his Out There talking about his MS diagnosis. Only fitting to skate after coming back from a month long MS relapse. Gonna have to wake up before the sun comes out and it gets too hot out tho.

Sending good vibes  for your skating return. Pretty funny that Dicola's graphic is essentially someone getting their brain scrambled. I gotta get a $lave deck sometime. Are they relatively mellow?

- Enjoi Deedz board (resin7) (8.375 across middle, ~8.125 across top bolts, ~8 across bottom bolts) 14.2 WB 31.6 L (works extremely well for everything, very impressed) Jessup grip
- Ace 44 w/ 3 washers on outside and 1 washer on inside (stock bushings)
OJ "elite" mini combo shape 53mm (prob smaller now) (definitely widest wheel ive ever ridden, urethane is a little bit better than bones but still not on par with F4 (imo))
- reds bearings (broke ass)
- idk bolts but 2 silver ones in front
- reebok club C revenge (skate good after breaking in but still "slips" on grip sometimes leading to accidental ollie north. otherwise impact support is honestly the best ive had since Emerica Reynolds 3)
just got back into skating every day (or other day) since march and honestly one of the most satisfying things is having a setup you appreciate

shalom, I think the ace trucks and short WB work on this deck cuz its much smaller than my previous board length-wise (antihero 8.38 w/ 14.5 WB and 32.35 L). the only time I had problems with aces was on an 32 inch 8.25 14 inchWB cuz it felt like my board would flip or turn a little more than I could control

I've ridden that board, and with Thunders its crazy steep. Like 37-38 degree's of angle.
So I can only imagine that Ace's will mellow it out perfectly

Haha sorry I made it way more confusing than it needed to be ..and tensors are pretty confusing to begin with. Those are the lows. Part of the ATG redesign was increasing the height to 55mm, so the older Tens model became the "lows". They got kind of a shitty rap for not turning because the prior ones legit didn't turn and the stock bushings are maybe the worst bushings ever produced but once you swap them (I use thunder stocks in mine) they're a pretty good little truck. Really snappy pop feel. Just keep the weird axle size in mind when you're sizing setups and if you want to skate bigger wheels risers might be a good idea.

If you end up really liking the light weight and smooth ass grinds but want a sharper turn then definitely check out the ATG. I can help you find some if they're extinct in canuckistan, or I have some 8.5" axle regular aluminum ones. Just let me know.

The Primitive cracked to the point of being unskateable so I set this up

Krooked Brad Cromer shape. At its widest it’s an 8.38 but tapers down putting it in my size range. I was going to skate it as a cruiser originally, but figured I’d spice things up for a couple weeks. I slammed and fell flat on my face first try of my first trick
[close]

That shape was my first foray into shapes. Pretty mellow, only felt like a mini after taking some time away and coming back to it. Blame it on a bigger board I suspect.

Red plys are dope. Never understood that one.
Top red ply = dead
Also graphics that are mostly baby blue is a big no-no for me.
Sir, I'm going to politely, but firmly, ask you and your common sense to leave this establishment.

That's one way to react to "you're not the smartest". Good job buddy. Keep thinking they could be atg's if you want to, I don't care, they're still most likely tens regular 5.5.
I'll shut up on the subject now.

Thanks man, actually got out there and did some tricks haha. Yep definitely mellow and minimal concave. I also left the trucks in my car yesterday so the bushings would soften up and the setup felt great.

Other than FA/Hockey decks, the Real Full SE's are beautiful shapes!

Who in their sober mind would go out of their way to buy Tensors in 2020?
