DOA square shape 8.25
Theeve csx v3, 5.25
F4, 54mm, 97a classics
Olympia bearings

The Theeves feel a bit small for this set up (I’m moving back up after skating 8’ pops for a while) but not unmanageable.

The 97a F4’s are broken in now and they are easily my favorite wheels. A little softer than 99’s (just enough to take some rattle off on medium crust) slide nice enough and I’m liking the classic shape a lot (usually ride conical full)
[close]

This shape looks so good!

For sure, I like their square shapes a lot and along with Pennswood deep concave, South central’s standard concave is my favorite

Are the F4 97a noticeably more grippy on slippery stuff? I'm debating whether to try them or wait to see if NFG does another run of the 95a wheels.

I would skate 101a on everything if they gripped better, a smoother ride is not important to me, but the slippyness puts me on my back more than I'd like.
[close]

Yeah, they do grip a little better than 99/101a on stuff that’s usually slippery for me, though I haven’t tried them on any indoor surfaces.

I’m curious about those NFG’s too, though mostly to see how they feel on crusty streets. I like their normal formula a lot for pushing around but I wish the slide was better.

Cool, thanks. I've never tried any of the NFG but definitely curious about them.

hopefully its my last week of rehabbing my knee, decided to throw this together after testing my new surf stripe method

scumco (silver spoon?) 8.5/31.75/14.0
venture 5.6 hollow w/riptides +flat washers+indy 78a
f4 classics 55mm 99a
swiss super 6
bronze allen
mob
sb dunk lows/adidas tyshawns

actually liking bigger wheels now that im off thunders. swiss 6 really shine with wheels that can carry speed, they didnt feel much different than reds in 50mm wheels (surprise surprise). 58mm conical fulls are up next when i can find a set, any leads are more than welcome.
while cool-guying is a real phenomenon, studies show that 83% of all cool-guying incidents can be attributed to the cool-guyee being an awkward weirdo

This setup is the business.  I’ve got a set of Tensor 5.0’s collecting dust on a shelf in my garage and I’ve been thinking about grabbing one of these 7.8” Classic Eagles for them.  Your setup has convinced me to go ahead and do that.  Too sick.

Can we get a top view?

Scumco Kyle Nicholson 8.25" x 31.6" 14.25" wb
Venture 5.6 hollow
54mm Portland wheel Co conicals
Bop Shop™ grip
Bop Shop™ hardware

Been waiting for the new PS Stix Scumco line since last summer and they did not disappoint. Some killer graphics as usual and really nice PS shapes from the 5 I've acquired thus far. Decided to try this one first because I haven't skated a Nicholson deck in ages (and he's so good... Criminally underrated).

This one is your standard PS fare - full shape with very little taper, mild concave, nice wide squareish-round kicks, a mellow tail that should be very snappy and responsive on a mid height truck like venture hollows. Waiting for the sun to dry up some of the puddles outside but just messing around in the basement this deck feels great. So stoked these are available again.

Those wheels look sick. They look wider than Spitfire conical fulls. Making me want to step it up to 54s on my next setup

I asked to see anything in an 8 to an 8.12whatever. The blue dip and odd shape sold me. I’m also in my early 30’s but I guess I’m a kid too.

Fine....how short? How funky?

If you was a kid, wouldn’t this have 8.75 trucks, risers, 58s?

Scumco is 31” with a 14” wheelbase. Feels crazy to me but once I get used to it I think it’s gonna get interesting.

Thank you/

I can't disclose my source on here (as this deck is part of a brand I'm working on starting up) but it's from an old American woodshop that's been producing decks for years.

Before anyone asks, it's not skatepaige. Those guys suck.
