first dwindle board. if the wood is anything like pennswood ill snag a couple more in this shape
creature jawn gardner 8.8/31.4/14.0
[close]

I personally dig the wood and the shape. But grab these shapes while you can. They're Jawn's custom shape, so they're not readily available like his other pro board which is their 8.5 Stumps shape with his graphic on it.

wood is solid but the shape might be too short for my legs (36+ inseam). have to choke up so much to level anything out. gonna ride it into the ground but never going that short again, it doesnt feel natural at all

Feels natural for me. Then again, I'm a <30 inseam.

had a change of heart today and will take it apart tomorrow, feels like a waste of time trying to adjust. the shape itself is small but my mind cant get over the twin tails.

scoured jawns footy and didnt see a single clip of him riding the shape himself, he looks no taller than 5'4. me as a lamppost shouldnt even bother.

if you are interested and live in the us, pm me. ready to take my deserved L and move on

Another M1 8.25 14" WB
Venture 5.6
Spit f4 OG classic 99s in 58mm
Swiss bones
Props, unc. Do you skate large wheels for economics, functionality, or what? I skate like 57s only to ware em down to like 50s, plus skate crusty ditches. Also any risers?
Whoa. Danger.

I took it to this shitty park today and really like the board a lot, did a few kick flips and nollie flips and felt great. Only thing throwing me off was the wheels, they’re huge for me (usually on 52mm classics). I feel like I will get used to them, set this up to mainly just cruise the crusty roads in my neighborhood, May end up skating this setup a bit more than I anticipated. I also kinda regret not buying 2 of the board, I can already tell I’m going to love it. Maybe they will do more boards in this shape each drop.

New wheels and deck:

- Studio 8.125 (control wood shape S15) 8.125x31.625 14.25WB 6.5T 6.75N
- thunder 149s and 1/8 risers
- SML 54mm "wide" shape AG formula (just came off v-cut 53s and its been years since I tried a skinny wheel, almost didn't believe they were 54s)
- bones big balls (prototypes)
- jessup 4L

haha they're solid on it. I think the short overall length and shortish tail make them work. Frontside flips were the weirdest adjustment but I just had to change foot positions. I'm also kinda tall so long a wb doesn't isn't the worst thing for me

These are 56mm. The boards feels so heavy to me, but conical fulls are way wider than classics and 4mm bigger than my normal ones.

My brother was talking about getting back into skating, so a few months ago I bought him a Christmas complete with stim money. He's already lost interest and I guess it's mine now, LOL my ulterior motive all along. I have all big shaped boards right now, so I'm stoked to have a relatively small popsicle for flatground, ledges/curbs and mannys. My first pair of Ventures ever, sick to try some lighter trucks than my Indys. Not gonna lie though, the turn feels really weird... but I'll adjust to em.

Primitive Pricepoint Dirty P Deck 8.5" x 31.925" WB 14.3"
Venture Standard Polished Trucks 8.5" Highs
Spitfire F4 Radial Slims 54mm 101D
Spit Cheapshot Bearings
Generic Hardware
Primitive Grip
flat washers and softer/shaved bushings should get you right with the ventures

Not me, I have two sets and they are both raw silver. I had a set with black baseplates and gray hangers about 15 years ago but I pretty much always roll with the raws

Was asking @off regarding his choice of aftermarket bushing for ventures.

I bought an extra set of the black Bones Hardcore bushings for my bro (he is heavyset) and I'm thinking about swapping them out just to see how they feel. Now I wish I bought some softer ones cuz the stock purple Venture ones are surprisingly firm and stable feeling, I'm just used to a quicker turn after running Indys for 25+ years

FrozenIndustries: my bad
white indy bottoms and shaved down purple tops (7mm ish). riptides only make it better
