I like that polar board. I just got done riding a smaller shape of theirs. How do you like the trucks being a bit less wide than the deck?

My new setup:
New FA 8.44x31.9 Tapered shape
AF1 44
Spitfire F4 Conical Fulls probably around 52 mm now

I've not had a chance to skate it yet, but I put three washers on the hangers instead of the usual 2, used to do it with the classic 44's on an 8.5 and it worked a charm and kept the axle nuts flush with the deck and pushes the wheels out a bit wider so it doesn't feel like a magic carpet, does the same with the af1 55's on this size so I imagine it won't feel too different to when I've done it before.

Don't Indys generally make WB even shorter than other trucks though? Or do I have it backwards
[close]

Standards (cast baseplate) add around 3" to WB, Hollow (forged baseplate) add around 3.15" to WB
[close]

I'm glad other people know because honestly I've got no idea. Pop felt weird on thunders, feels great on indy's. Very stiff deck though.

I gave my thunders away but there were some decks that felt incredible on them (such as dlx) when maybe in theory they shouldn't have, as i tend to like a shorter wb.

My main reason for the switch back to indy was to be able to ride without risers and that's been a blessing. This and the killing floor deck felt amazing.

Is the Hockey tapered 8.44 the same as the Baker shape since they're both BBS?

The P2 was a very handsome shape and I loved the ultra square nose, but I think I'm just not a mellow concave/kicks guy. Decided to try the quasi proto shape again before I give up and just ride hockey decks forever.

Nice shape, kicks looks Huge!
Do u know the length & WB on it?
Sorry I'm late on this.
Length is 31.75" (stretched measurement)
WB: 14.25

The kicks look way bigger than they are. The tail is like 6.5 and the nose is like 6.875, but the super blunt shape and the taper from the front to the back just makes the nose look a shovel. It's the same shape as the Quasi 8.5" proto, just with mellow kicks and concave.
