@Thom and @Global Moderator always put together my favorite setups on here. Cool to see their new shit together on the same page. Complete opposite ends of the spectrum too.

Those wheels must not be easy to come by. Are they 101a?

Whenever Jeremy restocks, I always buy a bunch of sets. And yes, they are 101

Polar Surf Jr.
Independent 149 Reynolds hollow with Krux hollow DLK and 94a bushings
Spitfire 60mm OG classics (big ups @Thom  )
Shortys/minilogo/jessup

Spent the first session trying to re-learn crooked grinds on this beast. Super fun.

Public apologies to anyone I privately scoffed at for saying this shape is super-directional...nollie/switch tricks don't feel like they're happing on that nose with 60s.

I threw all the sale stuff I've picked up into one set up, with the idea to keep it in my car, but I think it might end up being my main set up.  I never really paid attention to Baker stuff, mostly because I never cared for the team and I always associated their logo with really annoying pimply teenagers, but shit I REALLY like this shape.  I may have to pick up a couple more.

The Mag Lights are nice (even though they weirdly look super bent here), and the 53mm Nomads are better than expected too.  This set up is a lot lighter and has a lot more pop than I've gotten used to.

whats the wheelbase on the surf Jr? know its listed at 14.375 but i know polar is hanky with the numbers.

14.5 = 14.375
14.125 = 14.3
etc, cant trust them to get it right
while cool-guying is a real phenomenon, studies show that 83% of all cool-guying incidents can be attributed to the cool-guyee being an awkward weirdo

WB is actually right for once. I just assumed it would be 14.25", but I measured it and it is indeed 14.375".

Carpet Bucknaked blank 8.5 14.5   Generator wood. I’ve had two Carpet decks and I swear they have been so much better than standard BBS/ Generator.   Bought the blank because it’s still hard to justify a $95 deck like their graphic ones.
Ace 44 classic with Krux bushings.
Bender Red Tip hardware
Darkroom Triclops 54 92A.  W/ Reds big balls.
First time skating softer wheels in years. Our local park is slowly turning into a gravel pit so it helps. They feel slower but worth the trade off for a smooth ride.

Yep - got a few of those decks on sale and find them really good!

They really are such a good shape, 8.5 x 32+ with a 14.5 wb, same size and shape as many other brands that use BBS wood like Passport, Black Label, Baker, Deathwish and many shop boards I have seen if you wanted more of the same shape from a different company.  I can understand not being that keen on Baker too, but I think the whole team doesn't have quite the brats / piss drunks vibe to it that it used to have.

I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

I’ve had 3 Carpet decks and each one lasted almost twice as long as my other BBS decks. Don’t understand why and I wish they made more.

I don’t know if they are using a different mold or what... I did notice that I can actually see faint fingerprints on the bottom edge of the deck. So they are probably clear coating with something extra even on the blanks. It slides like a slick. Love it...

The risers are the ones made for ventures , the only option my local had so I made them work , I flipped them around so they stick out on the inside instead of on the nose and tail.

Love the packing tape sticker job.

I feel like there was a moment where brands would just let you buy rolls of their packing tape and I want that to come back.

Is this graphic just a giant Crail dis or am I reading too much into it? Pretty much the Girl logo but with the girl covering her own eyes and then that shape at the bottom sure looks like a roughly cut out flare.

Also that's a pretty skateboard
them cats are out getting mashed up to jungle, he's out mashing up jungle cats. it's just not gonna work.
