limosine 8.5
indy 159 std
spitfire 60mm classic f4 99d
mob grip

limosine deck feels pointy. really nice wood. feels similar to a dlx with the point noise and tail. will be a good go to deck

What’s the wheelbase on the LIMOSINE 8.5?

I’ve reverted back to breaking boards on lipslides like a child. Cracked the top layers on my main setup. Please ignore all the debris that blew into the common area of my apartment building. I’m not that messy lol

Bet if you gave Jamie Griffin that setup he could penta flip down a small set. Not sure why he doesn't already run Tensors for all the insane flip tech he does.

Left my board in a Lyft on the way to the airport so got a new setup while visiting family. Figured I’d get something super different and the shop didn’t have Mids or Ventures so I let the dude pick the trucks for me.

Choco Trahan G69420 shape 8.25
Thunder 148 Team Hollows, haven’t had raw finish since the 90’s
Classic Fitty-two’s
American Blue bearings. Shop brand I think, priced same as Reds. Seals on both sides so i might remove the inner ones
Shorty’s Phillips, yuck
Jessup

Skated it for 20min in the driveway and landed 18/20 kickflips in a row. Felt crispy, nothing super weird since I skated flat decks like this in the 90’s and early 2000’s. Only time will tell.

8.38 14.25wb snack
ace 44 classic
spitfire f4 classics 56mm 97a
reds
diamond bolts
jessup grip
regular shelltoes

that last snack i had cracked in the middle in 2 sessions in a really weird way, like a kinda huge chip
on the bottom of the board. mad pressure cracks too,  even with thin rubber risers. i don’t recommend clutch wood. this one is a ps stix and it feels a lot better right off the bat and i like that shape more. it’s 31.7 after measuring and skates great, boards with short tails and large noses work for me. working at the skateshop got me actin crazy and i already have another deck on ice, a girl carroll 8.375. these worker discounts really hit different
[close]
Nice setup..I like long nose short tail too, how is that Carroll 8.3 shape?

@Seventyfuhkinseven tried to dm you but couldn't, i had to wait on the delivery for a little longer but it's here. tail is very short, skinny and pointy. nose is fuller but still round, not square at all but definitely a lot fuller than the tail. concave is mellow leaning into medium and the kicks are pretty mellow too. i can send you some pictures if you want, it's already gripped but i haven't set it up yet.

DOA 8.5
5.8 (bones hard bottom & flat top washer)
54 101 radial slim
Super Reds

Been a little while since I’ve been on this 8.5 South Central shape and damn it feels great. Used to ride it with Aces but the Ventures feel great.

Got a good two months out of this deck. Favorite graphic in a long time on my favorite shape. I never break boards in the middle, I always snap the tail off. I didn't even realize it cracked in the middle at first, I had just seen it when I was taking a sip of water then it quickly got progressively worse while just skating it out for a short session. I think I landed a little too in the middle on a 360 flip and my board cracked a little because it has been pretty weathered and skated it poor/cold conditions and it quickly got worse.

8.5 x 32.125 x 14.25 (my favorite shape) Quasi Robert Pollard guest art graphic
5.8 Ventures
58 mm Spitfire F4 OG Classics
Reds
Jessup
Some hardware

I had been sitting on this deck for well over a year. I'm getting towards the end of my stock pile/board hoarding. I do still have a second of Justin Henry's first graphic but I was thinking of maybe making it a wall board because it's my favorite graphic. I initially wanted to do that with this graphic too because I love guided by voices but after a long time I started thinking I don't really like it as much. First time skating a dip board in forever, but it is pretty cool. Reminds me of skating zero board when I was a little kid.

Still tossed some stickers on there. Here it is after a quick session.

Thanks man I know we're on a similar wave shape/set up wise. I saw you're skating 8.5 quasi proto (favorite) with 6.1s. I have 6.1s on a cruiser right now, but I thought about what it would be like on 8.5 shape. Any benefits?

can only speak on the 6.1 hollows
+ the only 52mm ventures with the regular cast wb (+3.25)
+ more stability and true landing surface on the deck
+ more room for grinds/can crosslock when needed
+ light and easy to flip around, classic venture pop feel
+ ran up to 56mm with no risers @200 lbs
+ im tall with huge feet so it feels right/necessary

my current setup has no limitations in street scenarios, would highly recommend. i can assume weight isnt an issue for you on raw 5.8s, so if you have cast 6.1 hangars and forged plates you can get a similar taste @360ish grams

I’m glad I had the foresight to not give away any of the wider Thunders I had when I switched truck brands at the start of the pandemic. Tomorrow starts my 2.5 week work hiatus too. Stoked to skate more than just the weekends for the first time in months
[close]

Considering getting one of these, hoping that Indy 159s will fit on it, they’re only a tiny bit wider than thunder 149s so fingers crossed!

I am also thinking about this deck for Indy 159s.
You might have or measured the specs for tail and wheelbase?

Venture 5.6 TI are such a good truck, would ride them more often if I could find a decks (14.125" WB and under) that pair better with the WB extension.
