Picture Show Nawrocki 8.0
Venture 5.6
OJ Elite 55mm
Reds

Im usually not into big ass wheels on a skinny board, but I had these lying around, and I skated way better on them than my 51s, so im gonna run these for a while.

kinda bummed on scraping through this graphic, its a good one

Such a dope graphic.
Love to see the Plus skate shop stickers too, my favorite local shop
personally I can only hope to be remembered in a slap post three years after my death, with my name spelled wrong

The hangar on films reminds me of old Indys and I do a double take whenever I see them. Setup looks great.

So cool they still do this graphic. Absolute classic.

I've been thinking of getting one of these for awhile now. Looks great. Do you happen to know the nose and tail lengths?

Grabbed the specs from skatedeluxe btw but seems about right.
nose: 6.75"
tail: 6.2" (this seems crazy if accurate, but it doesn't feel that short if that helps)

Krooked Gonz 8.38
5.8 V Lights - I’m stoked on how fast they have broken in considering its like 30 degrees when I skate
50mm Darkroom Wheels - they are growing on me, but Ive been skating a lot of smooth ground, unsure how they will be at my janky ass curb spot when the weather warms up
Neverbolts for the hardware
No idea on the bearings. I skate slow as shit so it doesn’t matter to me
This deck was on ice for way too long, needed to skate it. Now is the time.
[close]

Funny I set up that same deck the other day.

Then had a "graphic crisis" and had to find a raw parking block to get rid of most of it, but I saw it had a really nice aqua colour bottom stain so that was more the inspiration to de-graphic that board.

As far as shape and feel, they are pretty much perfect to me.
Yeah man I am digging it as well. 8.38 with the 5.8 Ventures seems perfect. I like a white bottom on a deck, my ply underneath the paint is yellow.

Most of my setups are pretty much the same, but this one is a little different.

DIY Stained Eagle (previously green eagle) 8.38 size with a IV on top
Along with all the usual things I like to skate:
Indy 149s
Spitfire wheels 55 down to 52mm
Bones Swiss bearings
Shortys Silverados
Jessup grip

I had been using an old blade to scrape off some other boards, but this is the first one I actually left part of the graphic and it turned out pretty well, considering the hack job I have done before with the blade.

[close]

Hot damn! You're wild! I get frustrated when I get 15 minutes into a grip job I thought was a good idea before I started. Hahaha. That's sick, though. The classic eagle is a great graphic, but it looks fuckin TOUGH on the stained ply.
[close]

Thankfully I didn't just sit down and do it all in one go.

I was almost going to give up / just do the whole lot a few times, but after walking away and doing something else, I came back and kept at it a bit longer.

Short of putting it away and not looking at it for a week, while I skated other boards, it was a hide it or finish it, type of thing for me.

Blisters and RSI and finally done, but I don't think I will do another one any time soon like that.

And just like that, no razor blade needed. Shorter wheelbase too for those so inclined.

No shame there.

Ha yeah they are rad (but I don't ride short wheelbases).

There is also the second version of the "Oz eagle" out as well, which has a green stain on the 8.5 and a yellow stain on the 8.25 which are amazing, but I am holding off getting any of those.

I got a couple of each of the first round, brown stain on the 8.5 and blue stain on the 8.25 boards.

Sometimes I like to do things the hard way though.

Stubborn and painful to the last.

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

Is this the 2022 deck? I hope it’s better wood than the ‘21, which was pretty subpar.

It isn’t as square as you may think. I’d say it’s more of a full popsicle than a square shape. Top view:

I haven’t skated it just yet but the pop feel just pressing the kicks down indoor is feeling pretty damn light which my weak ass knees and ankles will probably appreciate

That's an excellent view of the shape, but as you said, definitely more a full popsicle.

I think the wider boards really take the blunt shape to a different level though.

Thanks for the pic.
