It is the same as ishods. As far as I’ve ever heard and seen. I think Bobby tried ishods and that’s how he got into the twin tail shape
Yep sure did while on the Real / Krooked OZ (AU) tour a while back.
The nose and tail appear a little longer than the Ishod shape…but pictures/perspective. I mean, you’d think a lifetime of staring at pictures of skateboards and videos of skateboard tricks…but nooo
I was wondering if the slick was noticeable, when it came to the pop. For perspective, my last slick was a Dave Duren, and it sounded like a wet log. From jump.
The Ishod Real and Bobby Krooked are the same deck size, shape and everything in the 8.3 size.
A few people who only skate the twins, specifically those 8.3 DLX twins, have said the slick treatment on the boards is a tiny little bit heavier and slightly different in how it skates, but nothing they didn't get used to easily enough and they liked it more than the normal board anyway for slides and tech stuff. One guy says it makes it last longer, but that might be more in his head than anything to do with the board itself.
It felt the same to me, having a skate on one of their boards. That one in particular that was already well used at the time, for the quick run I had on it, slid well on a slippery feeling metal ledge but my normal board slid well enough too.
I also have a used normal 8.3 twin, so I sort of knew what it was going to be like anyway, but they are a good board if you are wanting a twin in that size.
