@Buttfart Rapedick - is that Scumco a BBS or Control?

Might be an older PS Stix board actually, as I know BFRD has a lot of wood and loves his PS Stix.

I think that graphic is from about two years ago now, so that would make sense too.

FA Ave 8.25 14.12wb w/mob
Lurpiv 144 stock w/regular kingpin
Spitfire F4 52mm 99A conical
Bones Swiss (+ 1 or 2 reds)
Bronze 56k Allen 1’

Pictured FA stan smiths but I’m now skating some adimatics.
[close]

Is the embossing upside down on that FA? Sticker job is nice!

Thanks dude! Yeah the emboss is wrong and it threw me off. I always to a line in the grip on the nose side of the deck and because of the emboss orientation I gripped it upside down (the line on the tail). I had to re-grip it again otherwise my OCD would kick in.

Scumco Evan Smith guest model 8.25" x 31.5" 14.2wb
Ace 03 low 8" axle
52mm Bones stf 103a V2 (locks) shape
Zealous bearings because its always wet
Some fancy French grip called J'essup

Weather might have finally broken. Back might finally be unbroken. This is meant to be slow and hit the ground quick. I've written novels about how much I love this shape but I haven't skated one since the fall so I'm interested to see if it's going to feel like an old pair of jeans or if the mellow nose is going to be weird.

Also thinking about putting a bones medium top on the bottom of these trucks, I went to cone bottoms in my venture lows over winter and it made me feel like I gained a little bit of turn without really sacrificing stability. These turn better than venture lows so I'm not sure if I'll need it though. Any of you dudes who put flat washers on everything think that would make a difference with lows?

Fire set up. You might get mad wheelbite. I’d try it though.

I ride flat washers in all my trucks now. It’s the way for sure.

FLAT WASHER QUESTION: is there a particular “size” I can ask for at the hardware store? (The ones I have are from some bones bushings i had years ago and I’d like to throw some on a different set up i’ve been thinking on) cheers!

I just took one of the bones ones with me and started digging through the bins until I found one that was the same size. I think it's 3/8" off the top of my head but don't quote me on that They're cheap. Like ten cents cheap. I got like 30 but have lost most of them so keep them in a pill bottle or something.

The Riptides are too big imo. I ordered like some sets of them with some other stuff because non-metric hardware is kinda hard to get in Europe and I had too pay import fees anyways. They are 1 mm thicker than the bones I think (from reading stuff), so I think you won't get the same looseness with the nut flush. They definitely have a wider OD than top of the top bushing by quite a bit. One result of the wider OD is that the sharp edge of the washer is a point of contact on smith/feebles on round bars (not on ledges), which definitely has more resistance than the stock cupped washer and digs into the rail a bit. They also seem to dig a bit in to the hanger on ventures at least there are marks which definitely aren't from the stock washers.

This is my first ps stix board, def takes some getting used to, but enjoying how flat it is compared to the hockey I was skating before.

want to ask is there a standard size for flat washers that i can search in the hardware store?

I would try to get something like this for a top bushing. As long as the inner is 3/8 in. the kingpin should fit through. Barrel/cylinder bushings are 1 in. diameter. Cones taper from 1 in. down to 7/8 or 3/4.

Finished with my first ever Palace board, was pleasantly surprised. Went back to the Hockey 8.44 shape though because I liked my last one so much. Hockey Nik Stain 8.44, Ace 44 Classics, F4 OG Classic 55mm (should have got 54s), Reds.

Got a second hand bag of parts and put the Wrecktangle back in action.

Skatepaige blank, cut to 9x31.5x14wb
Independent 169 titanium forged on 1/8 riser
Very coned 55ish Spitfire Classic Fulls that’ll be rehabbed with enough powerslides
34° pop angle cuz we’re doing that now I guess

DOA 8.5 standard concave w/ DIY Donut graphic since there wasn’t one in my holiday mystery box
Thundy reg 149 hangers w forged plates and Minilogo bushings
Spit F4 52ish Radials
Clean set of Minilogo bearings till I clean a few sets
J’ssup

I got four of these bad boys in line to skate and this is the shape that got me my heelflip back after 20 years so I’m pretty pumped.
I only skate prime numbers, so it's either 53s or 59s, feast or famine

DLX/Break Free skateshop day 8.25
Thunder 148’s, 56mm F4 conicals, Swiss 6

I got a pair of the G6 insoles to wear while skating, but so far my heel sits too high in the shoe with them. They were too spongy which kept throwing me off mid grind/slide. Back to stock insoles for now

those KSLs already have the pour-in G6 midsole, right? So doubling up on the G6 is probably overkill

those KSLs already have the pour-in G6 midsole, right? So doubling up on the G6 is probably overkill
I have a recurring back injury. So far the only shoes I can skate without hurting it are the Tiagos. I attribute it to the midsole. The Gr pour in midsole is a little thinner than I was hopping for, so the extra insoles seemed like a good idea. I’ll put them in some work shoes for a bit until they pack in more
fuck you bama
