that’s mostly from crooks. I just swapped the front and back hangars to even em out and get a lil more life out of em on this set up haha. I do love me some 5-0s and sw crooks though.

you concernedly posted your first noseslide groove 6 months into a truck lol don’t try to do me like that

DLX/Break Free skateshop day 8.25
Thunder 148’s, 56mm F4 conicals, Swiss 6

KSL

I got a pair of the G6 insoles to wear while skating, but so far my heel sits too high in the shoe with them. They were too spongy which kept throwing me off mid grind/slide. Back to stock insoles for now
[close]
those KSLs already have the pour-in G6 midsole, right? So doubling up on the G6 is probably overkill
[close]
I have a recurring back injury. So far the only shoes I can skate without hurting it are the Tiagos. I attribute it to the midsole. The Gr pour in midsole is a little thinner than I was hopping for, so the extra insoles seemed like a good idea. I’ll put them in some work shoes for a bit until they pack in more

I also have some back pain, it’s the worst. Hopefully you heal up.
I too use the 1010s, and can skate longer because of them. The sizing is a little off for me tho, so I’m always looking at other shoes.

Lots of good looking setups rn

Yeah, I don't know why more people don't do this. I hit axle doing crooks on my front truck so I swapped the hanger onto the back. I know people here love buying new gear, especially trucks, but I want to create the least amount of waste I can from this incredibly wasteful hobby of ours.

scram deck 10 x 32.75
indy titanium 159 trucks (bigger trucks would be a bit better but its doable)
spitfire 60mm radial full kader wheels
1/4 green riser
bones swiss bearings

This is probably my favorite Scram shape/design. Looks good!

You ever see an old shape that you'd think would be cool to skate but it's not made anymore so you do it yourself? That's exactly what I did.

Black Label John Lucero Emergency Cross, reshaped. I cut down the nose making the length from 33" to about 31", and added a taper. I also redrilled the already double drilled wheelbase to 15", so here's to hoping the deck doesn't break when I step on it :v I did my best to match the original 80s/90s Santa Cruz shape, but there weren't many clear images of it.

Indy 159 standards with stock bushings

Spitfire F4 Conical Full 56mm 99a

Bones Super Reds Ceramics

Jessup Ultra + MOB Clear

Santa Cruz rails

1" hardware

Before/after:

Santa Cruz shape vs my work

The obvious difference is the taper, but I wasn't sure if the taper was steep due to the photo angle so I played it safe. Overall, not bad for having little to work with.

Chocolate Carlisle Aikens Hecox Portrait G057
8.5 x 31.95 x 14.5 WB
Venture 5.8 w/ 3 speed rings in on all 4’s
Spitfire 55mm F4 Ishod Blacked Out
Modus 7’s
WKND 1” Allen
Jessup Grip

I like this shape more than the 8.25 I had. It doesn’t have that twin tail feel with big nose and tail and which makes the 14” WB cramped. W/ the venture and the 14.5 it’s proportionate cause the length of the deck makes the nose slightly short and the tail feels slightly longer due the steepness. Will try to get my hands on a few more. It’s def a keeper.

Finished with my first ever Palace board, was pleasantly surprised. Went back to the Hockey 8.44 shape though because I liked my last one so much. Hockey Nik Stain 8.44, Ace 44 Classics, F4 OG Classic 55mm (should have got 54s), Reds.

Thanks for the info on this shape. Idk why but I keep thinking about it and wanting to try it. I’ll have to grab one
