Polar decks have steeper kicks and more concave, but dimensions are identical.

Alltimers, Passport, Sci Fi, Hopps/Theories, etc all use the same BBS generic shapes.
[close]

Polar 8.25s may have longer noses (7.0) than the generic BBS 8.25 shapes (typically 6.8something).  havent done the current research, but seem to remember that...
[close]

Depends how you measure. If it is with the concave they are both 7.

Maxallure 8.38 (14.25 wheelbase, 32 length)
Indy 144 standard hollows
Spitfire 53 mm f4 99 classics

very nice.
This has me cracking up, what exactly does Black Flag have to do with measuring your dick starting behind ya nuts?

Skateboarding is nothing but a game to find the right fits to appear like you're a proportional human being instead of a midget or a giant.

I want this deck so badly for some reason. Bummer it only came in 8.25 but still might snag one after seeing that it looks good with 8.5 trucks

On to my next Neen. I set up the previous one on 5 March so this has lasted only a bit more than a month, but I have been skating almost every day. The scrapes on the noses are exclusively slappy crook marks. The color on the board and on the trucks is from a colored parking block I skated last Sunday. Anyway here are the specs:

- Deathwish Neen Twin Nose 8.5
- Lurpiv 149s with regular kingpin
- Bones 100s down to 47mm
- Swiss
- Miles
- Diamond 7/8 Allen
- Dooks Silencers
why come?

Current "quiver":

Left
The Killing Floor 8.38x14.38x32
Indy cast hollow plates, ti 144 hangers
Spitfire Classic Full 52s
Quantum Atoms
Silverados
Jessup

Right
Krooked 8.38x14.5x32.125
Indy cast mid plates, hollow 144 hangers with 2 washers inside
Spitfire Classic Full 54s
Swiss 6
Silverados
Pepper

I have enjoyed sizing up my decks so I wanted to try something even longer than 14.38/32 like the board on the left. The Krooked has a 14.5 WB and is 32.125 but the nose and tail are shorter and pointier. Both setups feel great but after one session the Krooked is pretty impressive only time will tell if it becomes the go-to. Actually feels more nimble, maybe a bit less pop.

Ended up with frankentrucks becuse I had 144 Forged Ti and wanted to try cast. Traded some stuff for a pair of new 144 cast hollow and wanted to use my worn in bushings and hangers so I just swapped the plates. I ended up with a spare set of hangers which I put on my warranty mid plates. I'm also going to end up swapping the Quantums or whatever my main board bearings are for some shieldless Swiss Ceramic I have that roll incredible.

Chocolate Carlisle Aikens Hecox Portrait G057
8.5 x 31.95 x 14.5 WB
Venture 5.8 w/ 3 speed rings in on all 4’s
Spitfire 55mm F4 Ishod Blacked Out
Modus 7’s
WKND 1” Allen
Jessup Grip

I like this shape more than the 8.25 I had. It doesn’t have that twin tail feel with big nose and tail and which makes the 14” WB cramped. W/ the venture and the 14.5 it’s proportionate cause the length of the deck makes the nose slightly short and the tail feels slightly longer due the steepness. Will try to get my hands on a few more. It’s def a keeper.
I’m skating these shoes rn, sambas are the best

The turning is unreal. Never skated a board under 14.25WB with Ace’s so this one takes it to another level of fun. Concave and the with of the nose and tail are absolutely perfect. Only minor complaint is the sides get kinda chewed up/seem dry and flakey compared to BBS wood.
