Agreed. I have a Zagger setup with Ace 44s and 54mm OG classics and it went from strictly a curb board to something I skate more than my popsicle

Hockey 8.38
Indys with inverted KP baseplates
52 mm spitfire tablets
Gilbert His

back on 8.38 after a few years jumping around from 8-8.25 and this just feels great.  Got the board at the Hockey/FA sale a few weeks ago, and regretting not getting more. Might make another order, but pickings are slim. This one has kind of a pointy shape that I like a lot more than the usual FA/Hockey broad nose and tail.  anyone know that this shape is called?

not happy that i'm back on Indy's, but I'm liking them and they just work.  desperately need a new set of tablets and some new Quantums or Swiss.

That's the new, innovatively named "Shape 2". Shape 1 is the OG shovel nose

Set up this Darkroom, the shape was too good to pass up.

147 thunders
Spit conical full 54mm
Bender bolts
Big balls
Darkroom grip.

First time not having risers on my board in 20+ years
Hopefully I’ll stop wiffing my tricks.

Got me a Dane1 for my first Xmas complete in a decade.

Sitting on:

Ace af1 66's
5 ply Real wooden risers
Spitfire F4 97 Conical Full 58's
Sum reds

Skated some transition and it felt wonderful, as did a flatground kickflip. Did some bad nose slides too.

It’s wild how big 54s look on Thunders in photos. What are those clear bushings you’re running?

Swapping over my 7.5 shop deck for a 7.5 101 Gino Reissue

Venture 5.0
Bones Swiss Ceramic
Spitfire F4 Classic Lil Smokies 48mm *new set to replace old*

*Did you know that the Lil Smokies are F4 Spits that had a misprint of a graphic? All they do is file/sand (?) them down to a smaller size. That's a great idea. Good on DLX for that. Also, did you know also have Tablet, Classic and Conical shapes?

@Richard Skidder @gaunting the bushings are from DLXSF. I was in aces for A while then back to ventures now I felt like using the thunders I had lying around. I like a 14” wb & didn’t know the thunders would actually be shorter then the ventures. Thought about getting a thunder kit to use thunder bushings because there more conical then the Dlx barrel. If i come across me cool if not no big deal. Thanks for the props on the stickers Waffles hates stickers, it’s a toy so it’s required for max performance. I suppose the wheels look big. I would love to skate 48mm but I don’t feel it’s practical unless I started skating a lot.

They used to sell this shape. Its the one kader used to ride and it was his first pro model. It isn't a reskinned orange eagle its a unique shape. I'm sure some other brand has used it but I believe it originated with baker.

Dug out my old kader 9 and took some measurements:

Nose: 7
Tail: 6.5
Wheelbase: a hair under 14.25
Forgot to measure overall length but I believe its around 32

true. I feel a board that big w/ mellow concave would be a lot of fun to cruise and throw around.

Yep, that is about it.

I had one too, that someone bought and didn't want (for whatever reason) so I set it up and really only skated it a couple of times.

It was so short and almost weird in shape - probably why the other guy didn't want it, as it was only skated once or twice too, but I could see someone wanting a wider board with shorter dimensions for whatever they were wanting to do.

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

The shape you posted looks more tapered than the one in the TFunk pic. Heroin has a 9.0 deck that looks more like his setup (fuller nose/not as short) and is through bakerboys so I wonder if the shape got carried over. A buddy of mine had the Heroin deck and the shape looks pretty similar.

I'm running a similar set up (9.0 polar/Indy 169/58 Conical Fulls) and it's a little bit of a monster truck for me at 6'3 and size 13 shoes, idk how someone his size runs that setup.

Put this squarely thing together at the office tonight. I'll get to test it on Christmas

The Heated Wheel Peter Hewitt shape
The Heated Wheel trucks
59mm Rough Riders
Bones Ceramics
Mob
#10X3/4" sheet metal screws

I've had this deck for a while I decided to wait on putting it together when I heard they were coming out with trucks. I put the trucks on by eye and came pretty close. I guess the newer models are getting holes drilled to fit the heated wheel truck but I kinda like having to put it together from scratch.

I decided to try the Swiss ceramics because I can't get fast enough on my other Polarizer. Just riding around the office theses things are fucken fast

9" Baker deck of indeterminate shape
169 STDs with risers (can't tell if 1/4 or 1/8" but they looked super mushed out)
60mm Conical Fulls
