Put a hurting on the curbs today. Got broke off. Luckily I was alright to do scratch tracks tonight. We got like 4 songs drums done. Mad takes. All good

I had to restart the new complete

Orchard board 8.25
Slappy  8.25
Bones flat washers.
This board is sick af.

That green top with the green bolt. Mhhhh

I got my favorite old wheels out. 55mm 101a spits I bought at the park from a homie. Now they're like 51s.

This set up slays now. I fucked up those curbs today. Mad tourist watching. Then I ran over my phone.

Got broke the fusk off too.

John Cardiel full yellow dipped 8.25 true fit mold with the 13.8 WB
54mm swirly classics
Butthurt bearings (qbs fusions)
Thunder titanium 148’s. I’m pretty sure the axles are bent but it doesn’t bother me

Blazers

I didn’t know what to expect from the true fit mold. I thought the wheelbase might be too small for me. Most of my tricks seem to work completely fine. Also my first time skating vulcs since throwing out my back a couple years ago in some(not blazers). I forgot how good blazers really are and can see myself skating then again after this pair
I love a short wb i wasn’t aware of the true fit mold. Nice set up.

I love how you took that black and yellow theme to the next level with deck, wheels and shoes. I just hope you‘re wearing a yellow t shirt as well.  ;)

Quasi 8.0 (PS stix)
Venture 5.2 lo
F4 52mm 99d
Reds

Wow, that’s a stunner. Love the color scheme and graphic on this deck, and the red bushings/bearings are the chef’s kiss. Looks great against the room, too. What’s the top color?

I’m guessing those are glow-in-the-dark 52mm Classics since they have a plain black swirl? Cherry on top. Nice work.

Normal popsicle shape. Concave is rather on the flat side though in a good way.

How on earth does one get grooves like this? In all my years of skating I have never, ever seen something like this and can't really figure it out.

Personally I got them from doing roll on grinds on shitty, low curbs, not sure about the OP though.

@ok id say 75% of the reason I chose this one is because it looked like one of their older boards. The other 25% was being curious about the super small wheelbase. I’d guess the dimensions on this true fit mold are pretty close to how DLX 8.25’s were in the mid 2000’s

 making me want this more.
Curious to hear the feedback on the truefits.
I’m short, and like short boards. I can only remember one board that I thought was too $hort, and it was sub 31” (23 Clyde). Anyways, interested to see how these go

Set this up as a placeholder until the new sob story sample boards come in (it's the closest BBS made deck with similar specs that I could find). The nose & tail are a hair longer than my sweet spot (7"/6.625"), but I'm pretty stoked overall with how it skates. Also, after bouncing around with different trucks, I'm back on Thunders and I think I may have finally found an end to my madness after setting them up with a Venture loose trucks top bushing & RipTide pivot cups ;D
  • 8.75"x32.75" Heated Wheel (14.25" wb / 7.25" nose / 7" tail)
  • Jessup Ultra grip
  • Thunder 7/8" allen hardware
  • Thunder Team 161's (stock bottom bushing / Venture loose trucks top bushing / RipTide pivot cups)
  • Bones Swiss
  • Spitfire 99a F4 Classic 55's

This is the platonic ideal skateboard

@Nth syd bear

I didn’t get the palace! Dimensions sound perfect. Last palace I had was…very early on in their us distribution, an Olly Todd. I’ve wanted to try their shit since, but I’m pretty committed to buying stuff from local shops, so if they don’t carry stuff, it’s not happening. I’ve also gotten weird(er) about if a board stokes me out, and like to touch it, ogle the concave.
I should get called out for this, often, because frequently on here I solicit information, and/or opinions, claim to be all in, and then bunt it.
There was a thread here recently, about ‘dream setups’ or something of that nature, and of course I made a snide/shithead comment there, but I essentially do a different version of this with the vast majority of my posting here, where I satisfy some urge to consume, by talking about it on slap.
If I was in therapy, would I even post? Maybe not.

Pretty sure it was the Steve Stedham graphic, kind of orange ish background. Board was maybe 7.75 by 30.5. Wb was invented back then, so I dunno what it was. At the same time I got a drake jones bicycle graphic. Both boards were super sick, but I didn’t skate either long. I was really into over consuming boards at that time, and cycled thru stuff too quickly. I wish I got the same jolt of feeling that I got back then, the products these days just are not as exciting, for me.

@tom
The amount of times I’ve been convinced of something being the most effective for me, loudly proclaimed my findings, all to try something different, on the very next setup is ‘interesting’, and possibly disheartening. Again, I’m probably just looking for some excitement, and something different …cooooould be better. Right!? Again, most of a mental health diagnosis. At this point, there isn’t a baseline. I have things I like, but I can’t tell if it’s because I skate better, or because I just like the thing.
And often I’ve skate well on kooky shit: the previous version of royals, p2 deck, lib tech boards, boards that were decidedly outside of the zeitgeist of the time period (usually too ‘pinner’). A too big part of my shit is being ‘stoked’ on the setup, and that frequently is connected to what is popping off in skate media..
