8.5 juicy elbows
bronze allen 1"
1/8" dookie
ace 55 classic

f4 conical full 53ish

would you run to me if somebody hurt you if even that somebody was me?

Looks nice! How are you liking the ACE 55 Classic (9” width) with 8.5” decks? I know Harry Lintell from Real uses that set-up, tried it myself and really liked it as well. Does it make flipping the board around more difficult because of the extra hangar width? Thanks! Frank

Western Edition 7.75 Black magic grip.
Venture lo 5.2 with supercush bushings.
Spitfire 50mm classics swiss 6
Shortys lights hardware.

Skates really good. Just like most flatter or mellower boards you have to pop lighter and more in the pocket. Ones you get used to the that all its good.

Would be cool to skate a psstix mold with dwindle resin construction.

Went to set up this ps stix Pizza deck from the drop and noticed a crack in the bottom veneer. Camera is shit, but it's a skinny split like 3" long between the nose and top truck hole. Is it going to snap on me quicker, or should it just become a wall hanger, even though its not a great graphic?
[close]
It looks like it'll be fine if you skate it.
[close]
Thank homie, I didn't think it would be all that bad, but I've also never seen a crack like in a new deck. It was less than $20 if I remember right so fuck it.

Hey, I’ve ridden a bunch of those Pizza boards since they started that cheap mystery box deal. I’ve see quite a few of those blemishes. I really don’t think they make too much of a difference. But, I will say that I’ve snapped a lot of those decks after a few sessions. I kinda feel like the quality is a little more on par with shop decks, rather than pro-quality PSSTIX, from my experience.

The price is right for me though, and I actually really like the 8.125 shape with a huge nose and tail.

Have you tried the generator blanks, and if so how do you think they compare to the pizza decks, in terms of quality, not the usual difference b/t STIX and BBS/Generator? Those have been my favorite budget board deals lately.

I just got my order of a 5-pack of BBS blanks and the final finish of the decks definitely seems to be of lower quality...like the sanding of the rails/edges is a bit rougher, and the stains are more inconsistent/uneven and knottier than all of the BBS pro or even shop decks that I've had. It's all minor cosmetic stuff that ultimately won't affect performance (hopefully)
Edit to say that the gloss finish on the blanks is also not as nice as it usually is on pro/shop decks

Actually picked this up for the wall, but decided to take it for a quick spin. Fun shape but the opposite of what works for me it turns out. I have a P9 which is better, I like the nose on that but not the tail.

First time setting up venture lows 5.2 on 8" PS Stix. Indy bushings made these turn good enough for me. I was getting wheelbite with 53 x99s so I'm on these monster loopholes until I run the x99s down or might bite the bullet on 50mm loophole classics.

Anyone have recommendations for a deck with a short wheelbase? I like 8 or 8.06 with steeper concave like AWS decks from the early 2000s, but some of the wheelbases are just too long for me.

I loved my G069 but with tone I felt that, let's call it the tail, started to be less steep than the nose nonetheless I wanted to ask you regarding the size of your 1010 and 480 if you don't mind.
Sir, I'm going to politely, but firmly, ask you and your common sense to leave this establishment.

I went back and looked at the remaining blanks I have, and yes!, there are way more knots than I think is normal.

But then I have one green-colored blank (different from all other dye colors) and it’s perfect.

FWIW, I’ve been sadly disappointed with quality control issues on various pro models, which is one reason I don’t feel bad about getting blanks anymore.

I’ll pay more attention next time, and observe how it affects the performance/feel of the deck. So far, they skate wonderful for about a week of my middle-aged flipping and flailing on flat, curbs and ledges. After that I do need more pop. That has been true for almost every board I’ve skated since covid-times.

Just got a new complete, my other setup was an 8 with 7.75 indys and it was getting way too tippy.

8.25 polar with indy 144s. I typically skate baker or sci fi. Never had a polar board, but I really like this graphic and shape.

Setup my 2nd to last of the cheap SSENSE boards the other day. Got pretty hyped watching WKND RUMBLE PACK so was another reason to set this baby up. New shoes new board part 2, except I wasn't used to either of them this time but it's all good. Also funny to me that the deck and shoes together were less than $70 CAD total.

Going against the grain posting this horizontal cocksucker too.
