Sorry to hit the rewind button amidst all of these lovely set ups, but I've got to take it back to this Smells set up from a lickle bit ago, on account of I've been away from this thread for a shamefully long, hot minute.
@smellsdead, this process has yielded visually gorgeous results & I'm looking forward to seeing other decks you enhance with it.
Props, Sir.

Agreed, this looks really nice.  Well done, smellsdead!

while cool-guying is a real phenomenon, studies show that 83% of all cool-guying incidents can be attributed to the cool-guyee being an awkward weirdo

I don’t have board madness thank god but no matter what I’m skating, I always need a nostalgia board, I love my 8.5 deck and I always have a krooked 9.81 for transition but I often have the craving to go out and do flatground and manny pad stuff on a compact and low board, this is my most recent setup

Mini logo 7.75 with black magic grip
5.2 venture lows supercush green bushings
S.F. F4 50 mm swiss 6

Been skating half cabs pros and Reebok club cs in 13. Might be back in shelltoes tomorrow

Been skating this mini logo for 2 weeks. Really solid board. Landed horribly on it and still nice and strong.

Prefer PS Stix flat mold but the durability isn't there. Set up a girl 7.5 reissue this week and it broke in 30 mins. Ps stix best shapes worst in durability.
Hope you guys are light!

8.25
148s Thunder Titanium
52mm 101a Primitive wheels
Bones Swiss
Black Grizzly grip
hardware

BoardPusher custom, my sister and niece got me for my birthday, featuring a sticker graphic I made for my trip to Japan. The wheels I got from a contest. I won a deck but didn't want it, so I traded the dude who placed below me. I've been curious about them for a while, because the shape/size/Duramoter are always perfect and they're always on sale for cheap. The quality is probably not there, but I wanted to give them a try.

I skate only ledges and flatground now but stomp all my stuff and im 230 pounds so i know I'm just heavy but palace or mini logo don't break as fast on me. Most of my palace i just retire after 2 months and they are still pretty solid.

The ps stix are fun as boards though. I tend to switch flip higher on them. Idk why lol

They tend to have steep noses, if you pop em off the nose, that would explain it.

Feels a little naughty mixing limosine and Royal, but I think these are gonna hit a sweet spot truckwise, and the limo board is so cool…all green middle plies, glittery paint on the reflection half, and wood grain popping through on the darker tones on the other half.
[close]

I feel the limo graphics lend well to raw trucks and the new Royals are good fuckin’ trucks that look tough.

Royals are nice trucks. They turn great and the bushings don't squeak.  Wish my local shop would stock them.

The girl reissues have the flattest noses in the game right now. Well the 7.5 girl reissues do.  Flatter than mini logo fo sho.

The steep kicks thing is true. Palace decks with they're flat concave and steep kicks pops high. But you have to work for it to get the benefit.

Holy shit I picked a good one.

Metal ktcm (tx death metal) Ben bloard
It's 32.2 x 9" wide
14" wb (yes)
First set of Venture 6.1s.
3 ply risers

58x34 93a dragons.
Bones ceramics reds.
Going 8years strong. Fast as ever.
Pepper Galaxy Grip.
That's my shit now for sure. It ages really well. Sparkles turn into gold dwarf stars.

I need rails badly. I just didn't want animal print ones.

I'm going to ask a local tomorrow. I got stuff to trade. He's going to help me film for pals 6. He fuckin rips. By far the best style in town.

That doesn't work out what rails should I get?

I want to preserve this one. Concave is deep.

I went for a cruise. It's so good. 6.1s have the perfect turn out the box. Way better than the 5.6.
On the soft wheels I feel like I'm snowbloarding. Did a fast back 80 at speed and did a nice switch backside slider. I never attempt those unless I'm really feeling connectedto my board.

Then the cold set in. And they feel like krux frozen. Tomorrow I gotta cut a bushing. Pray for me. I never pull it.

A major bummer with 6.1s is my double sided curb. The truck sits on top of it. The soft square wheels are really close to the wall too. Perma locked.

Luckily I got two curbs and two set ups.

Once I get spits again it'll be fine. A 58 or 60mm og would sit proper. It happens with the rat bone two and the 5.8 too. I just switched wheels.

I can't ride less than 55s around here. It's just not ideal. I would be limited to the places everyone skates and I can't do that.

It's against my religion

Double sided curbs a problem with the 6.1. Im going to have to have two set ups going.
It's fine.

"Offering of the Serpent | KTCM" https://ktcm.bandcamp.com/track/offering-of-the-serpent

Here's the band. It's pretty good. A lot of bad metal and hardcore out there. This isn't one of those shitty bands that sounds like ai.

Texas is incredible for music obviously. Srv Insect Warfare Secret Prostitutes geto boys.

Peace love and switch bs sliders to you

I’m a fan of the SC slimline HSR rails as they’re angled to compensate for concave, i.e., your rail surface is always level.

I know the radial fulls push out the width but venture 5.8s seem like the magical dimension of trucks. I've seen them on everything from 8.125s to now 8.625 and it doesn't look weird. Other 8.5 trucks don't hit the same for some reason. Maybe the triangle hanger has some magical optics.
