Bearings -

Bushings -

This man loves his bokeh. What do you shoot with? Looks like a recent Nikon mirrorless body and a 58 Noct or an 85 f 1.4 if I had to guess.

Setup looks good. I see from your previous posts that you started skating recently, congrats on upgrading yourself from your Element complete. I would recommend flipping those wheels around so that the graphic faces inwards if you'd like to win some style points, the majority of skaters prefer the look of raw urethane (especially here on slap).

I'm using a Sony a7iii with a Sigma 24-70 F2.8 ART and a Sony 70-200 F4 G.

Wow my guess was way off lol. Surprised how nicely that 70-200 renders, it doesn’t look nearly as surgical as Sony glass stereotypically is.

Op, you ok man? Being real here, you doin alright?

how you like the FA 8” shape 2? I’ve had like 3-4 FA 8”’s in shape 1. want to try the melower one.
This has me cracking up, what exactly does Black Flag have to do with measuring your dick starting behind ya nuts?

Skateboarding is nothing but a game to find the right fits to appear like you're a proportional human being instead of a midget or a giant.

I got two new set ups.

New regular set up:

Another one of these 1st Skateshop / Quarterhouse blank twins, but this time sizing down from 8.38 to 8.25
Indy 144 forged hollows
Spitfire F4 around 50mm
Swiss Six Balls
Miles
Bolts

New curb set up, finally retiring the beaten up Ishod 8.5 twin:

Blast skates Curb Club 8.5
Indy 149 forged hollows
Spitfire F4 53mm
Swiss Six Balls
Miles
Bolts
Soft risers from 1997
That Blast board graphic looks great. How are classics 53mm on the slappy realm?
Sir, I'm going to politely, but firmly, ask you and your common sense to leave this establishment.

Cheers bro. I am used to smaller wheels so the 53s took a bit of getting used to but otherwise they are fine.

I've got the hollows on deck once the standards are dusted I didn't even think about the height difference and I think I'm just going to pretend I didn't hear that part to help my madness.  I'm liking the bigheads,  they slide well though I have gotten used to the formula 4 raw urethane color and now the white looks strange to me but I'll live. If you're a classics fan then these are a good substitute if you come up dry on the formula 4 stuff

hollow 147s are nice, i’m just too heavy and unskilled and i wheelbite baaaaaaaaaaaybaaaaaaay all over town. try a trick, stick, fall down. operator error. with 52 and smaller classics they are a dream. you’ll be stoked

Big thanks to my local skate shop, Help Boardshop for supplying me most of the items below for a great price, customer service was first class as well.

Completed my first custom built.

Deck -
DGK Tuner (8.25)

Truck -
Independent Stage 11 (144)

Wheels -
Spitfire Formula Four (Conical 53mm 99a)

Bearings -
Bones Reds

Bushings -
Independent (92 Medium-Hard) (Not yet installed)

Other -
Grizzly bear cut-out grip tape
Bones Speed Cream lubricant

I love these DGK boards.  They have this exact one complete at a pown shop in Lynn. If it was a little bigger it'd be mine.

That colour coordination is next level yo. Good job

Speaking of big bloards.

This shit is fuckin sick now.

I moved the wb out the 13.75" setting and BOOOM I'm at home again.
Before I was tic tic tic tic taccing out of everything. It was funny for like 2 days cuz it felt like a 7.5 but I just could not get it.
And I find it hilarious that like a 5mm difference in wb is so extreme. 13.7 is definitely my minimum.

I noticed this shape would be incredible for a beginner.
If your kid wants a 8.75 this is the board.

It's concave is flat
Its pop feel is light and it flips beautifully. I thought my tre flips was all but gone. I got um on tap with this round tail. I could easily ride 5.6s or 144s on it with out feeling tipsy because of the extreme rail taper.

The main reason I'm cumming so hard for this set up is...
i have fakie front crooks back!!! T
(Already told that story)

1'm STOKED!!! Now I just gotta get to Lynch and start doing the trick onthe in the ground flat bar.

This incredible set up is the

Metal x KTCM x Ben Raybourn (grasshopper shape)
31.5 x 8.75  w 13.8" wb or 13.5" wb.
Venture (Loose trucks) 5.8s (5.6 would be no prob. I can see my wheels.
No risers. You don't need risers up to 56s with Venture loose trucks kit. I can go higher but it'd be a lie if I said I never wheel bite.
If you put a harder bottom bushing no you don't need um.

97a 54mm radial fulls are the perfect wheel for this. Why I could get away with the 5.6.

I want some of the old sky top muska shoes. I wanna look like I'm from the movie back to the future 2.

This is a mess of a post.

Sick. Remindss me of the best days. Looks kinda like the Lee shape if memory serves.

I'd like to have a Kline Candy Bar one more time. That was my favorite board in all my history. Until like 2016. I had my first ps 8.5 Alien board.

I recently skated some nos spitfire (street burner 100du), and it is really noticeable how much slower they are to F4, especially in the street. Also, F4 keeps its speed even when it wears but the og is really impacted by wear. If your at the park or smooth ass ground you’ll be fine but otherwise be prepared to push a lot more! That was my experience. Was fun though. But happy to be back on some lil smokie 48s.

OG Formula definitely slower than F4. Doesn't hold speed like F4. Flatspots easier too.

Not bad wheels, but there is a reason almost all of Spitfire's offerings are F4 these days.

I agree with that 100 percent.  Formula 4 is top tier in my book.  Best speed and slide, and Lil Smokies are the best deal out.  Is it true they are blemished wheels that have been sanded down or whatever process?

It’s a reissue of his egg shape from back in 2016.  The wheelbase is kinda crazy for how short the board is so the kicks feel super small.

It's possible but it's a reissue shape. I had mad lil smokies back in the day.

Check this out.

I use these old 44 mm butter tablets to hold my pen. Lol. I love um finally.

Cardiel wheels was popping too.

F4 will never be beat. I can't even imagine what could be better. Skate wheels that draw on walls and don't flat spot I guess?

sick. Daniel Shimizu is sick. I always loved his skating. Dope fits ill style. Now hes got an egg too. Thats rad. Heroin is def looking strong past few seasons. theyer all over the powell channel too.

It’s a reissue of his egg shape from back in 2016.  The wheelbase is kinda crazy for how short the board is so the kicks feel super small.

Must feel explosive. I like to mini ramp on boards with less fingers of flat. Feeble fakies with that heavy nose feeling.

and im loving it
while cool-guying is a real phenomenon, studies show that 83% of all cool-guying incidents can be attributed to the cool-guyee being an awkward weirdo
