FA 8.0 shape 2
Thunder 147 standards
Spitfire bighead 50 mm
Reds
Mob
7/8 Allen shake junt bolts
[close]

how you like the FA 8” shape 2? I’ve had like 3-4 FA 8”’s in shape 1. want to try the melower one.
[close]

I like them. I think this is the third one I've had.  Kinda reminds me of a something from crailtap. Just a good ole Popsicle
[close]

this looks nice!
i especially like the 147 standards (i got 147 hollow lights, a little low, a little too light), and the bigheads look dope too. no shop around me carries the bigheads, i have been wanting to try the old formula again.
[close]

I recently skated some nos spitfire (street burner 100du), and it is really noticeable how much slower they are to F4, especially in the street. Also, F4 keeps its speed even when it wears but the og is really impacted by wear. If your at the park or smooth ass ground you’ll be fine but otherwise be prepared to push a lot more! That was my experience. Was fun though. But happy to be back on some lil smokie 48s.
[close]

OG Formula definitely slower than F4. Doesn't hold speed like F4. Flatspots easier too.

Not bad wheels, but there is a reason almost all of Spitfire's offerings are F4 these days.
[close]

I agree with that 100 percent.  Formula 4 is top tier in my book.  Best speed and slide, and Lil Smokies are the best deal out.  Is it true they are blemished wheels that have been sanded down or whatever process?
[close]

It's possible but it's a reissue shape. I had mad lil smokies back in the day.

Check this out.

I use these old 44 mm butter tablets to hold my pen. Lol. I love um finally.

Cardiel wheels was popping too.

F4 will never be beat. I can't even imagine what could be better. Skate wheels that draw on walls and don't flat spot I guess?

Haha I like the pen holder. Those things do like to roll right of the table

The weather was once again refusing to play nice or even cooperate on my day off, so I put together a little something to keep my stoke fires burning until next week: there’s nothing quite like the feeling of anticipation one gets thinking about sessioning a crispy new set up.

I was inspired by the very short-lived “death” of Danny Sargent recently (thank goodness that turned out to be a misunderstanding) and wanted to put together something that harkened back to that era, or at least as close as I could get w/ what I had hanging out in “cold storage.”

Specs…
Lawndale Skateboard Equipment Manufacturing Concern
Experimental Don Granch “Exciter” model PROtotype shape: 9” x 32” x 14.5” (6.5” tail, 6.75” nose) BBS wood/Generator GS8 (Thanks, Ed!)

Indy Stage IV 151s w/ flat washers on top

F4 Li’l Smokies 99a/50mm/Conical

Bones Swiss

Jessup LS3 grip w/ a rather lazy razor therapy treatment applied

Roughneck (the local doods) 1”/phillips

My 1st “Christmas Complete” in over a decade.
I prolly deserve this, but if not… too late: it’s already waiting for me regardless. 🛹

I wanna play you in a game of SKATE for the right to continue talking shit on me… You think you got me?

If it had spits I’d have even less hanger room and *my* bluntslides would suffer…103a stfs are a crutch for me in that regard.

However, spud brown would match waaaay better.

Enjoy your spits.

I saw they rereleased this graphic, I love all the old alien graphics from the 90s but this one in particular takes me back to looking through the ccs catalogs in school

Lil Smokies are one of those funny things that seem like they never come up on any list, but they pop up every so often here and there, definitely some rad looking little coloured options here in Australia right now too, natural, blue, green swirl, black, pink and more.

There seems like no way to know besides a shop seeing them in a distribution B2B and ordering them, but as Lil Smokies are the "recycled" wheels from regular wheels that have defects or issues and reshaped down to smaller sizes, there is never any real way to know what might be coming in either.

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

Digging the Politic board. Where/when did you get those Classic Fulls?

The last drop I remember was through Limosine and they were going for around $50/set.

I found them online from Zumiez just randomly searching google one day.  Like you said they're hard to come by and who knows when they'll release them again, so I snatched them up.

Random question, why 人気のない instead of 人気がない? I get that they essentially mean the same thing, but my Japanese has gotten so rusty that I'm not sure if there's some other difference? Digging the graphic on that pink stain btw!

I don’t know if I can explain myself in English but you can change の and が in case the phrase is a relative clause. So の or が means “that”. In this case, 人気 means popularity and it can be had, so “the shop that hasn’t popularity” equals 人気がない店 or 人気のない店.
I’m Japanese but I can’t teach Japanese :-[

Thanks, when I grip a deck, I actually go around the entire board with a file again after I trim it with a razor to expose more of the top stain...
