Not technically for me, but stoked on them. I finished grad school last week, and I wanted to thank my two really close friends in the program for all of the help and support (and honestly, guidance) they gave me. One of them used to skate a bit and the other was always receptive when we'd chat about skating. As a lil graduation thank you, I harvested/rebuilt some of my old trucks and hardware and got some other stuff to fill in the blank.

Pink:
SkateSupply Blank (8.375)
Thunder 149 Hollow w/ new fresh bushings and hardware
Sptifire F4 Conical Full 53mm 99a
Bones Reds

Green:
SkateSupply Blank (8.25)
Thunder 148 w/ new fresh bushings
Sptifire F4 Conical Full 53mm 99a
Bones Reds

I've never really skated blanks before this, but after setting these up, I am super stoked on how they look. I have one more deck ready to go for myself but after that I might try a blank or two. They look super clean set up.

Thank you! I’m in architecture. Doing my greatest Alexis Sablone cosplay, with a significantly worse level of skating. And if anything, getting them setups is a selfish move, cuz it means they have to come skate with me at least once, haha.

Not selfish at all IMO. If they're receptive to skating then it's actually really cool that you gifted them setups. Congrats on finishing grad school and I hope your homies start skating with you.

@moonordie yeh pretty sure that Trevor Thompson boards are usually ct shape

I've eyed those since Buttfart recommend them as alternative to G028 IF I recall correctly
Haven’t acquired one yet as im skating 8's lately.   What dont u like about it? Too short?

Nose is way too steep (Viagra like) and also the shortness of the board as you mentioned. Also never been a fan of PS. Apparently this board checks all the lousy boxes in my book 😅

Damn, sorry to hear it wasn't for you. I love the CT shape. Had a couple of the Tom K Solid Snake decks and thought they were perfect (strangely on aces which makes the wb even smaller - didn't work for me when I was on thunders).

I am average to shorter height though with tiny feet so maybe it just works because of that!

You 7.75 heads should post some footage. Seeing boards that small in HD is rare. Also what shoe size are you guys on those things?

8.25" Foy twin w/Mob
51'ish bones STF V3s / Swiss 6
144/8.25" Royal Ultra Lights (ACE medium bushings)
Thunder bolts/low profile nuts

Really enjoying it but the wood feels soft/dead (like a lot of BBS of late) and it's wearing fast(ish)...I am skating a lot but it feels like it's sogging/razoring quick; going to switch to one of the 8.25" SC twin for some crispier wood now that I'm used to 8.25s again and since the dims are super close. (foy) 8.25x31.85ish x 14.2(ish, maybe a bit shorter) x (SC) 8.25x31.83x14.22 so the kicks are roughly the same.

I like that graphic a lot and i recently started using a 8.25 i had laying around for a long while, 2020 maybe. Want to skate a twin tail but always feel like I'm going to hate it. I like flicking my kf off a regular nose, maybe even a steeper nose (helps me not rocket my kf).

It's funny you say that, I (and all the homies) like the graphic too; I think the blk/red/green works better than the 8.5 orange/blue/green (which is also an amazing shape for you 8.5 riders).

The foy twin is a hybrid (to me anyway), especially after skating so many twins...crail twins feel the same (tho not as full). Habitat are BIG BOY noses, Quasi and dlx, mellow/wide tails, the two new cosmic SC twins (which seem to be phasing out fast) have long canoe noses, just gross. This foy (at least in the pic) leans towards a nose rather than a tail but when riding it 'it doesn't feel like either'

I found a cheap SC twin (the one twin from them I've not skated); hopefully it stacks up.

If you are on the fence about an 8.25 twin, I gotta say that this one is 'the one' and I've skated just about all the 8.25s out there (not the toymachine which also has a true 14.25 WB and long at 32") PLUS this is the rare breed with a larger than 14" WB so there's that if it matters to you.

Truth be told I'm still waiting for an 8.3 holy grail twin.
