So sick. I told him he should put rails on the edges with the flints you know like fiske
Then bigger trucks would be a down grade.

We could bomb hills and do sparky gator craves

After having the madness and jumping onto a passport spade to a white eagle then to a huffer and my skating suffering severely for it, I’m back on what I’ve been running for the most part of two yrs and feels like home. Lesson learned, don’t cheat on the one who’s stood by you…

Slightly used board I had in the stack
Krooked 8.28 x 31.7 x 14.12
Venture 5.6 with 92a doh-doh’s
Mob
Spitfire ff 99a 55mm
Bones Swiss
Steel blue work boots

I took this pic like a month ago. Trying to pay homage to Lakai a little bit, before seeing how shitty it's becoming. The shoes skate really good tho!
I also loved the Passport board I skated before and the KSLs, I did some of my best skating with those as a part of my set up.
The new Set-Up:
Word Is Bond 8.25
Thunder 149s Tom K Pro Model with 94a Thunder bushings
Spitifre 55mm OG classics
Spitifre Classics bearings
Iron Horse 1 1/4" bolts
Real Wooden Risers
Mob Grip
Lakai Telford Low

Surprisingly liking this setup
Heated wheel 8.38
Ace af1 55s
Formula 4 52s
Been sitting on the ace trucks for about 2 years now, didn’t like em at all but I recently broke the kingpin on my set of thunders and figured I’d try to make the ace work. Found a bushing combo that’s finally made it so I can ride them properly. Top bushing is the bottom hard bones bushing and the bottom bushing is a hard Indy bushing. Feels great!

8’ 14wb 31.5 L - High Co (clothing company but the dims and price were good, couldn’t pass)
Ace classics 33, with 1/8 krooked pads (strangely wider than the base plates). I’m getting used to this height bc i’ll put some spitfire 54s up next
Haze Wheels 52mm
Swiss 6 bearings
SJ rails for some color complement
Bolts are some random shop 1’

Alien Workshop 8.125
Thunder 147
Worn F4 Classics

Had two of these Chinese Alien boards. Broke the first one in a week and got about an hour and a half out of this one before it cracked. Super bummed, will not buy from any more brands that are not transparent on what you will actually receive from them.

I wish I could buy in person from a shop, but there aren't any where I live.

How much for the polish blank? Is it good ?

they sell them as 3, 5 and 10 packs, no grip. if you buy the 3 pack one deck costs around 33 euros. the more you buy the cheaper they get, with the 10 pack you save like 50 euros total. i think they're pretty good, this is my sixth or seventh one and i got another 4 waiting. it's not bbs quality or that chinese stiffness, shit is handmade in pretty low quantities, but they still last a decent while. the main thing about them that has me coming back is the shape, they're pretty flat which i prefer and they have decently long tails, which i also appreciate since anything under 6.6 feels off to me. i gave one to my friend who was coming off dlx decks and he hated the shape fwiw, but i was already seeking out flatter boards so i got used to this shape super fast and it ended up working great for me. i skated the 8.375s before, this is my first 8.25 but i adjusted pretty much immediately since they all have a 14.25 wb, so the 8.375 is just an eighth wider and longer, but they're both pretty much the same board.

tl;dr: decent boards, 33 euros each if you buy 3, available in 3, 5, 10 packs, you can check them out here - https://sklep.localsskateboards.com/en/

Hey thanks for this, they have some nice looking WBSWB shapes. Too bad the 9" blank is only available in 5-10 packs.

Maybe this belongs in the cruiser thread, but I ride ‘em all in all terrains.
Found a decent enough deck at the spot, but it was a wee thing & the dims weren’t doing it for me so I took a saw, router, sand paper to it, then gave it a little of the ol’ rattle can to clean it up a bit.
Now measures nearly 8” at it’s widest & about 7.25” over the trucks.
Wheelbase is the same 14” it came with.
Nose is a shorty. Tail length is mostly there though.
No idea what total length is as it doesn’t much matter on one of these dorking around boards.
Threw a set of Indy 109s w/ a flat top washer on there & some 54mm F4 soft slider 93 radials as well.
Price point bearings, rando 1” Phillips hardware & plain ol’ Jessup round it out.

Here it is with a couple of other setups from which I took inspire for the shape.

Now they’re a family!

8.25 WKND (CT shape, PS wood)
Thunder 149s (titanium hangers w/ team baseplates)
53mm SF conical fulls
Bronson G3s

I finally tried the Asics Gel Vickkas, but they’re too narrow, so back on Vans Crocketts for now. Happy holidays y’all!
