@scab I want a report back! What did/do you think of that deck?

I only got out once this past week and all I have to report on is one short session at my scooter-infested local... But thus far it's all I've hoped for, and more. I don't know if it's the extra bit of width, the longer nose, or the fact that it's a Label deck and I better live up to that legacy—all I know is that I was absurdly confident on transition right from the get-go. I've had this irrational fear of FS slashes on "bigger" transition (that means 5"± & for me, I'm just starting to get the hang of it), but I somehow did one the first time I took a turn at the big quarter without even thinking about it. Then I did a whole bunch of them and they felt goooood.

tl;dr: The Label 8.75 is tue truth.

Also re: classic fulls, I randomly found at set of old stock at a discount and got them just to see what the fuss was about. And as I've said before, although I'll defend the functionality of big wheels to the death I fully admit that nothing will ever top the timeless look of a 51-53mm classic shape. So in my heart of hearts I was hoping I could make them work for me. Alas, it's simply not to be. I can only skate them on flawless ground, of which there is pretty much none here in North-West Europe. I'd send the set over to you as a sign of gratitude for putting me on to the Label deck, but as I've recently learned in the idiosyncracies thread you only skate white wheels, and they're black... Sucks to be us both I guess  ;).

As a wide wheeler myself, I was tempted by the classic fulls, but resisted. But I searched for a while and I did find some if you like 52s.

I like them so far, but if you're skating a dirty ass spot like I was they're gonba be caked up haha. They're kind of Ricta shaped but with a Spitfire classic feel. Real smooth from the get go,but I am curious how they'll hold up though.

Some real lookers in here, PALS.
My heavy-assed landings killed the Big Naturals shape#: 8008135 so it’s on to the next.

Deck was pulled from the COVID locker.
Scram fully dipped Brandon Perelson (8.8 W x 14.5 WB x 32.25 L) w/ a relatively nubby nose
Indy Stage IV 151s w/ 88 duro bushies & grade-8 hardened flat washers on top
Spitty F4 99a 56mm Coni-Fulls
Bones Swiss
Roughneck 1” Phillips
Jessup LS3

Is the Big Naturals shape a Skatesamples GS5 or GS8? Thanks

It’s the GS8.
Lots of fun.
10/10 will ride again.
Because I bought the 5-pack & still have a couple/few left. 😉

I DMd them and they said they have a new long boy in the works.
Im 5'9" lol but i felt super comfortable doing tricks that don't require 180s. Hauling ass and snapping kfs was fun.

Forgot to take a pic when new but trying something weird, and for the most part I quite like it.

Palace 8.375 (the dumb one with the absurdly long 14.81 wheelbase, 32 length, and tiny kicks)
Venture v8 5.8 with both trucks in v8 mode, makes the proportions actually quite reasonable
Spitfire f4 classic 99a 54mm
Quantum Isotopes
Pepper grip

Will rant about it in gear madness/venture thread later

If ever there was a board to be used with the V8 baseplates, that would be it.

Bringing that wheelbase down to almost 14.25 as the double drilled baseplates bring things in by more than 1/4" at each end means that it should, in theory, skate very well and feel much more like any other very normal board anyone else would have round the place too.  That said, I still haven't seen one in person, but I know some other boards definitely feel lighter and more normal with the double drilled in option where the original board has an excessively long wheelbase.

It's all in the details.

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.
