Got my security deposit back cuz I just moved so felt like it was necessary to get a new set up to cure my gear madness.

Quasi 8.5 x 33 14.5 wb
venture v8 5.8 (front truck in v8 mode)
spit classic f4 54mm
reds
pepper

Sizing down from an 8.75 x 32 14.25 baker with ace 55 classics and 56mm spit classics.
Love everything about this setup, pretty much completely cured my madness.

The length/ wb is perfect cuz im hella tall, I dont think I can ever skate sub 14.5 again and I love the full square shape
Coming from ace, i actually really love the ventures, they're repsonsive, way more stable, snappy, honestly turn perfectly, and grind great. After I broke them in I started feeling the "pinch" effect. I would consider myself fully awake now.

Ishod 2 (perfect shoe, grippy, just enough boardfeel, lightweight, very structured and supportive)

Listen man that’s a very nice setup and I’m happy that you’re happy with it, but going from aces to ventures and thinking your madness is cured overnight sounds like denial. A lot of us are in the 12 stair program here and it’s ok to admit that you’re not totally in control. I just don’t want to see a fellow slap user thinking sobriety is that easy and then spiral when they fall off the wagon. One day at a time, brother
I thought the same when I read it last night lol
Best wishes brother, madness can be controlled but never fully cured. Otherwise you wouldn't be here.

Hi! I got the winkowski for same reasons. ;D I have skated it for very little time so far, though. I skated some Heroin eggs (last board was 10" symmetrical egg) before it and this board is very different. It's pretty stubby but has 15" wheelbase. There's no proper nose so you can't really do nollies, noseslides etc. It's been fun to cruise around with but I'm not fully used to it after riding big eggs. I really like it so far and they look gorgeous (awesome art!) but can't say much more yet because I havent skated it very much. I'm planning to skate some curbs/slappy tomorrow and miniramp next week so I'll report you back.

Also, I'm not new to shaped boards as I used to skate Dane1 and it's one of my all time favorites. Winkowski and Dane are still quite different.

I've been riding this exact board for a little over a month now. So far it's been a blast.  I love the cruise missile concave on these boards.  They actually flip super fast.  The only thing that took me a second to get used to is that the tail has two angles on it.. from the truck base to mid-tail, then to mid tail to end of tail. Hope that makes sense haha

AH 8.5
Indy 149
F4 Radial Full 97 56
Swiss

About to have a knee reconstruction next week so I put this together to use as recovery motivation. I’m prone to bouts of madness so this is the most ‘basic’ setup I could put together. I was skating a Horse Pill before injury which is the same length and wb which I was liking.

Yup there's a rocker in the middle and on the tail. Takes a bit to get used to. I treflipped and hardflipped this board first go and was positively surprised. 😄

This is sick I kinda wanna get one of these how do you like it?

It’s fun, I should have bought 2 when they were on sale.

A little longer wheelbase than I’m used to (I think 14.5) which I  thought I was going to hate to with the thunders. Sometimes random stuff works.

8.25 Northern Co
5.6 Venture V8s
Loophole 54s
Sunday shieldless

Second last Northern Co from the stack. Damn these were great boards. I’ve been on mellow ps stix boards for a while, so it took a bit to get used to again. The only South Central boards I can get nowadays are 5boros, which feel pretty similar. Hardly any shops stock them, though.

Second last Northern Co from the stack. Damn these were great boards. I’ve been on mellow ps stix boards for a while, so it took a bit to get used to again. The only South Central boards I can get nowadays are 5boros, which feel pretty similar. Hardly any shops stock them, though.
From the wood shop thread listed below... Baltimore Board Brewery prints custom graphics BTW... Also, a few shops in my area carry south central shop decks...
