i really loved my other set, only got one session in on these before blowing out my knee... but I'll probably put ace hards in them when I can skate again.

I think that shape is exclusive to the jet skis in all widths. their other popsicles are more "normal"

Curious if you have also had the usual Orange eagle or at least that shape, the DLX 9 x 33 with 15" wb board and how it compares to this one?

I know it is not much different in width, but it is one I have held off getting until I have seen one in person.

Also was yours the BBS if you are in USA or the China wood board for anywhere else in the world?

* Took a closer look and saw Drive shop sticker from Canada, so guessing it is China wood.  Not a worry either way, but more so curious about the width than anything else.  8.8 to 9" is about 5 mm.

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

Yeah I'd agree with this, I skated one of the regular 8.5s from their first drop and it definitely had a more "normal" shape than this.

How do you like the jet ski shape? I'm really curious about it since the dimensions make it seem similar to the DLX true fit shape.

Yup board is from China, kicks seem pretty steep compared to a BBS Orange Eagle and drilled too far into the kicks like I've read you mention about these bigger China pressed decks before, the labeled width is correct though and is about 5mm narrower, length is the same as the BBS Orange Eagle even though this one is supposed to measure a little shorter. Wheelbase is dead on 15" for both.

Thanks!

Yeah I initially thought it might be fun to get, but I have the Real Wilkins 8.86 with the 15 wb and another 9 x 33 with 15 wb so I think that is enough for those boards.  Would be more keen on the BBS version, but we can't have everything.

I have used a DIY double drilled baseplate - think V8 only on Indy - which has made those boards work well for me, but I know for some people, they don't want a shorter wheelbase, or to have to redrill their trucks either, for that matter.

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

i love em. I've had a couple others in 8.75 and they're even better than the dlx truefit molds. they have a consistent mellow concave feel to them and come out with every drop.

They took a while to get used to so I was on the fence about them for a few weeks. Grinds and slides were mostly fine, but my timing was off for a lot of flip tricks. The weird thing about that is it worked to my advantage for relearning some long lost tricks. I still can't sw tre anymore, so it's not the trucks holding me back lmao

also did my picture load? I posted it using imgbb from my phone, but it's taking a looooong time to load on my laptop and I don't see the bbcode option on imugr

Shit. LMAO

The forum won’t let me tag/mention you for some reason

I was skating the bowl at NHS a while back and people were dogging me for being the only person not skating Indy’s. They were telling me to go grab some Indy’s and to swap out my trucks.  Anyways I skated a buddies board and reluctantly liked it there. I also liked his board better at the skateparks around Santa Cruz. I love skating ramps as much as I love flipping my board. I think I like the t2 thunders because they let me get different lines on transition, while also having the Thunder familiarity on street. My board felt wrong and heavy for a few weeks, but it’s pretty good rn

- Prime blank 8.75”
- Indy forged hollows 159 with stock bottom bushings, Bones hard top bushings
- Spit big beatdowns 60mm worn down to like 56-57 depending on the wheel
- Bones Swiss
- Bearing spacers
- Real wood risers the smaller ones
- Indy slayer collab hardware
- Whatever grip Prime sent along with the board, it looks like unbranded Mob, there’s perforation holes. Kind of a sloppy grip job, will be more patient next time
- Also have been wearing some pleather lrab vm1s, not pictured because i wasn’t thinking about including them at the time of photography, also I hate how the pleather looks when it’s been worn so I’d rather not subject you to what they look like. Definitely getting the suede ones next time

Bunch of nice looking setups in here lately.

Baker OG 8.25
Thunder 149 Lights
Bones STF 99 V1 52mm

Stoked on this board. Love looking down on the classic shape and first session on it was great. Was worried that the 14.25 wb would throw me off after skating 14 for a long time but no issues at all.
