You just reminded me of one of my favorite pastimes. When I was a kid, I would regularly “walk” my dog by letting him run while pulling me on my skateboard. He loved it and so did I. Would fly down the sidewalks so fast and sometimes crash into the grass edges to stop and then play on the green belt.

Man really isn’t many better feelings, the dog(s) always look so happy and accomplished too.
I had a medium sized poodle i’d do that with as a kid.
Then I had a German shepherd but he didn’t like tugging so i just let him run by my side

These two I gotta make sure I’m at a trail that’s not too busy. I got them some harness & they just run as fast as they can for as long as they can it’s like speed wobbles the whole time the first 5 minutes
That sounds like great times. 2 dogs pulling could get crazy especially if they decide to split up, lol.

So it’s kinda on topic the board you can barely see is a Legend Ricky Winsor, Indy 149s, 56mm OJ keyframes, probably some spitfire cheap shots.

Beautiful dog, love the white on the chest n nose
You go skating with your dog too?
My dogs think they’re sled dogs or something it’s scary but really fun

Thanks.
I used to but he ended up blowing out his acl a year or 2 ago. After his first surgery and recovery he blew the other acl and never healed quite right on that one, so he knuckles when he gets tired. Unfortunately his running days are over. He used to do 4 miles every morning now he’s down to wearing a boot with a strap to help keep his foot from dragging when walking. He’s 12 now so he’s cool with strolls.

It’s alot of fun after i make it a minute or two without them seeing a squirrel and veering off they’re a lil less feral and they listen better.
One of the first times right out the gate they saw a squirrel and flung me off of my board lmao dragged me a little thankfully that was on grass.

Man 4 miles every morning is tough lucky dog that’s a good life
Couldn’t even tell that vato got 12 years and 2 torn acls on him he looks great.
These foos a little over 2 - 2 1/2 years old so i usually do a short walk, skate till they’re tired and maybe do another skate before we go home

This is my cruiser board i skate with them on

8.5 AWS 14.5 WB
Indy 149s
Kryptonics from vtg Chicago roller skates
Bones swiss
Random hardware & riserpads

AWS was a hand me down my friend had in 2010 or something had a wild illuminati graphic on it so my gf at the time & I stickered it down. I never really put stickers on anything so that was fun.
Indys are old as shit probably 2014-2015
& the wheels I just put back on, kind of i switched em out for some light up penny board wheels but couldn’t find the og set but i found the second skate so I took the set from that one lol
These wheels get over everything though and still light enough to do wheelies & tricks

8.25 x 14WB Hardbody Brolic (DBX)
Venture Ti 5.6
Spitfire 52mm 99d Conical
Bones Swiss
Pepper Grip
Hardies Hardware

Still healing from injury but the comeback is pending…

A cautionary tale for you gear addicts out there. I used to have the madness til I settled on the 8.25/14 inch wheelbase combo for the past 3-4 years and my skating has been great the whole time. I finally got bored of skating the same brands/boards tho and decided to size up my wheelbase to expand my options. Started with a 14.125 wheelbase deck then jumped up to the standard 14.25 wheelbase. No issues at all I adjusted totally fine…until I rolled my ankle on frontside flip off stairs. Was a freak accident where my back foot caught the tip of the tail, dropped it, then landed back on the very edge of it and rolled downwards on impact. I should’ve either stuck it and potentially rolled away or just land one foot completely off the board safely, but I swear the margin of difference between either of those outcomes and me totally rolling my foot 90 degrees off the top rope was a quarter of an inch

I'm skating this board right now!

The NB# sticker looks hard on there

I had convinced myself a month or so ago that I was going to only skate 14" wb from now on, and that it was the reason for everything wrong with my skating. Got the hardbody basalt and pretty much immediately started learning new tricks and re-learning old ones. Then I A to B'd it with an 8.5 x 14.25 and could still do all of the tricks, and 14.25s are easier to find and I still have a stack, so I'm switching back. I think it was mostly mental, but if I had given myself a chance to get really used to it, they're harder to find and I didn't want to pigeonhole myself

Props for sticking with the 8.25 swb though, it's a super good size. I just can't commit to it sadly

8.25* Crail Perez twin on the new BBS wood
Brand damn new Venture 5.6 V-Hollow with flat top washer that comes with Bones Hardcores + stock bushings**
52mm OG Classics
Swiss
Pepper
Girl longnecks

Bummed I won't be able to skate this for weeks/month or more due to a minor hamstring pull and pain at the top of foot/ankle.

*Double bummed that actual measurement shows <8.25. And most bummethed Crail switched to BBS. Giving this a shot because I love all the G069s I've had but if the new wood is like other BBS, this will be the last.

**Tried my usual Indy orange cylinders, broken in, then Bones Hardcores (medium), new, and surprisingly neither turned as well as Venture stocks. This is my first time ever on Ventures.

When did they switch to BBS? Weren’t they using the same Chinese woodshop as NHS?

Late last year. That's when I bought mine and it's got the made in Mexico sticker and walks and talks like a BBS. It's definitely not the sweet, sweet China wood I had on my previous G069. Idk if they fully migrated yet but most posted images I've seen have the Mexico sticker.

Crail was using Dailan Huahong, but Creature and SC were/are using DSM per woodshop thread.

Seems with all the China trade war stuff, brands inside USA are choosing very quickly to go with something they don't have to pay excess fees on, so a switch on USA boards to BBS for now at least is a cheaper option, even if the initial price per deck from Mexico cost more per unit than the boards from China woodshops.  Then product from China has the tariff fee, whereas product from BBS from Mexico does not, so I am led to believe.

Also I think both Crail and NHS were most recently through Excel in China, but that is very much unconfirmed and it is difficult to get accurate information, even from the business charts and looking up trade partners of the skateboard brands to the various woodshops in China.  They were definitely being made at those other woodshops at one point in time, or still could for some products, but I just don't know.

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

How do the rest of the dims compare to the G069 measurements (wheelbase and length)? I love BBS wood as much as anyone else but it is a bummer that the Crail brand boards coming out of BBS aren’t lining up with their shape codes. The made in China decks seemed to be bang on with the measurements usually.

The wheelbase is true 14" on this one. I didn't measure length but will get you a number. But yeah, so far, least for this G069, the shape isn't translating.

To be fair every Quasi BBS twin I've ridden or seen that was listed 8.38 always measures under that. I specifically bought it because it always ran ~8.31 so it was a nice in between. Someone posted recently the Anti Hero 8.4 was closer to 8.25 too.

All the G069s I had before were just under 8.25 but it was basically negligible, until the end of their life when they seemed to narrow closer to 8.125.

The Antihero 8.4 is 8.3ish and straight rail/no taper. Probably my favorite shape though limited in release compared to their other boards.

I felt like sizing up, so here's a Christmas Complete ATV

8.75" Eagle
159 Hollow
58mm 97a Conical Full
Bronson Raw
A sheet of grip tape

Hopefully it's dry this weekend and I can break it in
