I never had a Chris Miller deck or really paid much attention to his career but as soon as I saw the graphics and shape of that deck, first thought was, "Is that a Chris Miller deck?"
Looks fun!

His "peak" was def before my time but looking back at old videos form the late 80's to 91 or so. Its clear that in terms of style and speed, he was/ is one of the sickest. Had to set up his board.

My third board is the one on the right. The concave was deep and I believe the shape they sell today is very similar to the original from 1990

8.25* Crail Perez twin on the new BBS wood
Brand damn new Venture 5.6 V-Hollow with flat top washer that comes with Bones Hardcores + stock bushings**
52mm OG Classics
Swiss
Pepper
Girl longnecks

Bummed I won't be able to skate this for weeks/month or more due to a minor hamstring pull and pain at the top of foot/ankle.

*Double bummed that actual measurement shows <8.25. And most bummethed Crail switched to BBS. Giving this a shot because I love all the G069s I've had but if the new wood is like other BBS, this will be the last.

**Tried my usual Indy orange cylinders, broken in, then Bones Hardcores (medium), new, and surprisingly neither turned as well as Venture stocks. This is my first time ever on Ventures.

[close]
After 7 weeks off board due to injury i finally skated this today. Having only 2 hrs on it, I can say it skated great. I mean, new deck, no surprise right? It is similar to the OG G069 shape although feels slightly pointer. Still good and mellow.

All healed up baby!!

Glad to hear about the new board experience as well

I'd say the ankle is 80% and hammie 90% but it's time to start back up. Now the hardest part is easing back in and knowing when to cut the session. Thanks my dude!

Control boards are definitely different, but when they work they’re great. Had a few memorable Studios…

5boro 8.125 - hoping it was South Central, pretty sure it’s Clutch
Venture 5.6 V8s
Spitfire Radial 55mm 97s worn down to about 53mm
Sunday shieldless

Plus a horrible sticker job taking in that fact they’re Loophole stickers. Please forgive.

Couldn't resist this Krooked Bobby Twin Slick (purchased from 35th Ave) and so took apart my unused BBS Twin football and set this up instead.

Smallest deck I have set up in decades:

Listed as 8.3, measures closer 8.25".
AF1 Hollow 55s with hard Ae bushings. (I think Ace Classic 44s would work better.)
55mm F4 Classics worn to about 52mm, with some very old Swiss 6.

Holiday setup.
Got to the local shop here in Los Cristianos and found this 40€ BD Skate Co board.
It will do the trick while in here.

Pepper grip
Random mess of bearings
German trucks, stage IV Lunarlight 149's
F4 conical Spits
~8.3ish Rust Belt Board https://rustbeltmfg.com/

Love the deck. It's manufactured completely by hand in Jamestown, NY, in a really cool skateshop with two indoor parks. It feels like the Mexico BBS boards before they moved (some, or all?) production to China. I skated a lot of DSM wood in 2025. It's nice having a deck that doesn't feel like a slab of metal

Set up my last BBS blank

8.5 x 14.25 x 32
Pepper
7/8 allen
Indy 139 standards, top bushings swapped with bones 96a
Bones swiss 6, degreased/no caps
52mm spitfire classics 95a

Skated in a dry patch of road for the first time this year, stoked. Skatepark still completely buried under feet of snow. Bout to just put a curb or mini ramp in my garage for next winter, tired of not grinding things

100% setting up a red oval(8.125 x 14 wb) on these trucks next with some 99a wheels
