i never really got into podcasts but i want to give this one a try. any epsides you guys recommend? I am fairly removed from the scene even though i live 100km away i am kinda clueless but i know who all these guys are (I still have a copy of the Environment video which Morgan, Cephas, Grant PAtterson all had parts in back in the early 2000s)

agreed with these. a few stand outs for me as well:

pat burke
Ian twa
will marshall
any of the Wade D ones
Jeff lenoce
dan plunkett
Alexis Lacroix

overall some of the best guests are their fellow Canadians.

The Mitch Barrette one is good too....

Mitch episode is one of their greatest for sure. I regularly go back to that Hugo one if I'm bummed out or just need an instant laugh.

Edit: really any of their homie episodes are pure comedy. but I love the more conventional 'serious' ones too.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - The mitch episode is one of the greats - The story about everyone giving their honest answers as to how many girl they had slept with kills me every time!

Start from the beginning I'd say.  There is good stuff in there across seasons.  I generally stop listening when they get to the sports talk but sometimes even that stuff is funny. Most of the time I skip after the gunshots with the ghost.

It's a type of listen when you're driving or grocery shopping, checking emails, or at the gym or whatever.  Some of the better episodes will make people look at you weird when you're laughing like a maniac buying a cauliflower or whatever though.

Thought it was a decent enough episode considering how young the dude is. Tokyo and spot search stories were fun. Also I love listening to an Australian accent so that might've helped

I dm'd them about having jacopo carozzi on the pod and they said they were hard at work on it so hopefully that happens this season.

the story of looking for the double rail got a little rambly for me but everything else was great imo. Stoked for the new season!
Look I'm not selling anything that doesn't have my jizz on it. I don't care how much is offered.

So glad The bunt is back, as someone said, this episode is pretty good in general knowing he's pretty young to have tons of stories to tell..

As English is not my first language, and the australian accent i'ts pretty hard to understand to me, can someone tell me what  he said when they asked about "worst company"?

Is a LA based one, but tried to hear it like 3 times and I cant get it.

Grant Patterson one is good too. The pappalardo story is pretty classic.

I was thinking about the Canadian skate midget starting 5: Mitch Barrette, Grant Patterson, Will Marshall, Rod Ferens, Dustin Montie......just a bunch of little dudes in basketball jerseys.....

Oh shit Dustin Montie.. that would be a sick episode.  Not sure why people are asking for Jacopo, I feel like that would be a terrible interview.  Give us someone who’s either a character, funny, or would have worthwhile stories to share.  Blodney, ET and Benny Magliano are my current top picks.  Or some fried bitter ex-industry dude.

He could barely pull a sentence together. And the 'like' count was unforgivable.

The part where he gets chased by the 7' stage 5 clinger is classic
yet when he says "now I know how the ladies feel" is kinda weird

As always, since he never does in-depth interviews, I'm hoping one day Rick Howard will do this, the Nine Club or Chrome Balled. He's probably the biggest Canadian skater they haven't gotten on (I believe they've gotten McCrank and Appleyard already).

People in the industry but not a pro-skater, I feel Lev would just let loose.

This episode was great, glad they're back.

Anyone got the youtube clip Mitch Barette was referencing?

I don't think I've ever laughed harder at a podcast.  I was at work and couldn't control it.

It's the best one. I relisten to it occasionally. Sinner one too.

Maybe its the accent throwing everyone off with the “like” or “know what I mean” but if you think he is using these words or phrases more than any other guest ever you’re off your head.

I actually loved this episode, and thought he came across as incredibly humble for someone in his position.

It's not the accent. I'm (half) Australian. Just thought it was a dead episode and I like pretty much all of them.
