he didn't not object to it.  he just didn't re-dissect the situation in a podcast about himself
[close]

He brought it up, described it in a misleading way, and then talked about how terrible it is to be judged for "the slightest mistake" as if the viewers are the unreasonable ones here.

Exactly. He could have just as well not brought it up. It would have been perfectly on brand for him to bring it up and say something like “I’m not going to speak on the reasons why but he chose to move on…” though.

Jeron seems really nice but the dude is a personification of platitudes.

i guess this confirms the Biebel video of him and his friend harassing and assaulting a houseless person was the last straw with him and the crail camp
[close]

Thought it was odd/wack that Jeron framed it just as “posting a naked guy on live and biebel laughed…”

there’s a big difference between not ratting your friends out and completely distorting the facts to frame a documented incident in your friends favor. As soon as he said that shit I paused the interview to see if it was mentioned on here. Was not disappointed.

Side effect of spending too much time as that guy on the Nine Club

Why do I swear he was already on? Was he on the nine club?
He talks about gas giants and taking a private plane with some Australians in France or something?

Ish interview was okay, kinda boring but he seems like a nice guy. The reason he calls his brand gas giants had my laughing tho hahaha. That's almost more fried than if it was named after weed.

I haven’t listened to his episode yet but I remember him saying elsewhere it’s because he’s actually interested in space, right?

Maybe this is better for the unpopular opinions of 2024 thread but until the Nine Club I honestly don't think anyone really cared about Jeron's skating all that much. He was always good and had clips in videos, but it's not like people were waiting for a Jeron part like they would for other skaters that came up in the same period. He always struck me as a better version of Daniel Castillo in that regard. You never went to a shop hoping you could get the new Jeron deck or something. Now that we see the human side of him we elevate his footage way more than we would have in the past.

How old are you? That may have something to do with it. I am 35 so started skating after some of his prime in the 90s but I was still stoked for his footage.
I thought it wasnt just him solo, shouldve stuck with my og thought.

what’s interesting to me is that he always brings up being bummed that he didn’t have a full part in yeah right but, the shared part with rick/tony with the death in vegas song is perfect to me. i grew up watching that part and wouldn’t change anything about it.

I feel like this was the same way for Chico. When he started riding shapes boards and posting on Instagram a lot, it really raised his profile. Before that, he was kind of a bench warmer for chocolate. I’m not saying he wasn’t talented, but he was never looked at in the same realm as Kenny/mj/keenan/gino/sj. I think people are more stoked that he was killing it so hard well into his 40’s
