The mag lows are actually a really good truck for a low.  Dont plan on skating wheels above 50mm though

I will occasionally run venture lo’s with 52s, cuz that’s what I’d do back when, and you can do it, but it’s not ideal: you need to be extra on it, and it does limit your turning.
I’ve wanted some mag light lo’s, no interest in the 55mm ones. Too tall.

Rode Venture 5.2 Lo with 52mm, some pretty nasty wheelbite but not as frequently as you would expect. I think the harder stock bushing help prevent that.

I used lows with 50mm and 53 mm was lots of wheelbite. So I added a 1/8 spacer and it was fine. So you can try and if you need more height, no problem.

Have you considered just tightening them up a bit? I'm not really getting wheelbite at all with 52mm's on my venture lows. Maybe when I slam a trick down real hard on one side but I feel like I can turn half ass well and am not getting wheelbite because I just tightened them up a bit. I get that might not be your cup of tee though

I rocking them rattle loose right now, get that sweet pinch on Smiths and Crooks. Contemplated swapping out bushings but I don't know what to.

My Film trucks came today. 5.5 raws.  Set them up on a deck with a 14.25wb but only got to mess around in the garage with them today.  Ordered the hard bushings (I’m 240) and at first they felt too tight but that went away. They feel kinda like ace trucks do for me. Ordered from Eurotings.  Fast shipping, free stickers.

Before this I’ve been back and forth with 148s and venture 5.6 so I’m excited to try something new

If you get a chance measure that axle to axle real quick I think some people here were confused if the 5.5 was a 8.18 or 8.25 axle

I love everything about the Tensor ATGs but the 55m height; it's why I never rode cast indys but the forged indys.

If 148 TI Thunders weren't out of stock everywhere [but ebay and overpriced] I'd pick some up; I can't bring myself to jump back on Ventures again (but I might) just for the height; truth be told  I was holding out for the Mindys.

I thought ppl weren't sure about the width for the 8.5" truck? Some said it was 8.625"? Idr for sure, maybe I'm remembering Theeve..

And did we settle on a height for Film? That UK shop had 2 different heights listed.

Can someone who has films actually measure them? I think I've read that the 5.5 is both 8.125 and 8.35 on here and different shops.

Still looking for this, sorry if I missed it.
[close]

Mine just arrived today. Got a pair for 28 Euros and wanted to give them a try because I wanted to skate a smaller board again. I bought the 5.25 ones can't say anything about the others. Width is ~20,3 cm (8 inch) height is 53mm.
Weight is 355g. I can measure the wheelbase in the next 2-3 days, when the rest arrives.

I've been wanting to try 'em but couldn't find them in Switzerland...corona truck madness.

Where did you order yours from?
I'm a be on here until niggas start posting about my celebrity-skateboarder lifestyle exploits ala Lil Wayne.

Have been skating Film 6.0 (155mm; about 8.75ish) for last few weeks.  Tried them out a few months back, and couldn't get into them.  The turning felt funky with the stock bushings.  Decided to give it another go.  Added some old Bones hard bushings bottoms, bones soft top, and bought some flat washers off Amazon that measure 5/8" OD.  The kingpin nut outer edge seems to sit flush with the washer. No bottom washers.  Have been hitting little hills and curb spots around my small town during this COVID crisis.  They are quick turning, feel akin to a hybrid ACE/Thunder if I had to compare.  Grind really good too.  Almost seem higher than my Indy 169 Titaniums, but not in a bad way.  Sounds like Film is coming out with some 165mm soon.  Recommend highly.  Be careful running them loose, my kingpin nut rattled off.  Didn't know it until I came to a stop, kicked my board up and my front hanger fell off. Have been using some locktite now.

I went back to my tracker axis trucks after skating tensor mag light atgs. I didn't have any reason at all other than curiosity since the mag lights are probably my favorite trucks ever. I have to say the trackers are better than I remember but not a ton of grind clearance and they are really hard metal compared to the tensors. I made up for this by using a krux download kingpin. They turn really well and grind really well on metal. They stuck a bunch on concrete but this made them perfect for hurricanes. My tensors and aces ground down super fast from grinding on concrete but these look like it didn't affect them at all. I'll probably stick with them a little while.

Have been skating Tensor Aluminum ATG Hi trucks for couple weeks now and i'm very suprised how good these trucks feel. I was thinking that the turning was gonna be Krux like but these turn suprisingly good. Not Ace good, but good. Pop feel is somewhere in the middle of Ventures and Indys atleast for me and they grind kinda hard which i like. Cant wait to try mags after these ones are done.

they don't make the newer ATG in "lo" i thought?? That is outdated?

The Lo on their site don't mention ATG

Not really slower, just slightly different feeling. Also if i remember correctly, the weight on 5.5s was 380 grams. So slightly lighter than Indys.

Ok

i would say they are kind of like a surfy thunder. You can get tech with them and they are better for cruising than thunder, plus i like the mid height as indy 11's are a lil too tall for my liking and i get too much wheelbite with thunder

It’s been way too long for me to chime in anything meaningful.
Triple Dave’s description sounds right. As an aside I dislike ‘surfy’. It’s kinda of like soft, not quite as bad as ‘mouthfeel’....it’s just. I don’t know what I’m saying, and I don’t have a solution, I’m just complaining.
Anyways, royals have a quick pop. And skate great loooooose. The metal was maybe a little softer and so they ground rough stuff easier. I remember thinking they were light, but saw that they actually aren’t. Sometimes the geo of setups just makes things feel light/heavy.
I’d skate them again, and have considered buying them again, more than once.
