Gotta respect his skills but I won't ever be able to get into his style. That noseslide to powerslide down the slope was pretty cool though.

Dave is the OG Micky papa.

It’s rad he’s never had great success in the industry but still skates and puts this stuff out though, he clearly loves skating which is admirable and worthy of props.

Not my cup of tea but can’t deny he has insane control and ability- that said, why did they use a line with a failed tail slide 270 to open the section? Someone as good as him doesn’t need to use a 5-oh clipping into tail

He seems to ride a feestyle deck without concave in 7.5

This was sick, always been a fan. That bank to ledge to shingle bank spot looked so fun. Those DVS (?) did not look so fun.

Although he looks like he smells, dude is stupid good. I see that Micky Papa comment but, damn. Wasn't he NB# flow for a bit too? Is he on DVS? Can he at least get 1 top tier sponsor?

That thing looks disgusting, as does Manny Santiago.
Now, we used to say we put on our tights to put on the world. So I don't think it tarnishes the image at all.

Dude kickflipped El Toro, sickening to see a legend getting disrespected regularly on here.

first time I noticed how flat a board is from footage, looks like a cheap complete from a sports store

dude definitely has insane skills and is super consistent, but somehow his parts give off the same vibes as mark florich's epics, which is not a compliment

spots were super nice and interesting

Also on a 7.5 board, which is bonkers.

youre probably right, but he had a better career than alot of more respected pros. he used to be on oakley and i think Rockstar too, it probably paid pretty well over the years.
but yeah, he clearly loves what hes doing and you got to respect his hustle.
i really dont like seeing 50 to switch crook variations though.

Insane. Would be interesting to have Paul Schmitt try and optimize his board.
Anyway, didnt mean to disrespect him, I just never noticed in footage before.

I actually thought he was looking good in this. Style felt more casual than normal, plus this was just on a 1 week trip. Not bad, not bad.

Still the only skater to flip down El Toro. He’s still waiting for everyone to catch up.
Dave totally rips - really genuine guy.
