Prob unpopular opinion but - I love being able to see BTS of all this classic footage but I wish Beagle would edit these down a bit, they're all so slow with so much unnecessary shit in them. I love watching raw footage but these have zero rewatchability, it's tedious having to sit through 30 minutes just to see 4 tricks each time
I know they're not going for the same vibe as say the Emerica B-sides but if each of these videos was 2-3 tapes at a time they'd be so much better
I think you might be missing the point of him posting these raw tapes
Please explain the point.
All the shit hes had out b4 has been the edited versions of his filming missions. Now hes releasing the unedited version, bit by bit. If u want the edited stuff look at the old baker movies.
Except these aren't actually just raw tapes, unedited. DV tapes are either 30 minutes or 60 minutes (most 60) - these episodes are under 30 minutes. He's editing down the raw footage a bit, and he's doing more than one tape per episode. He's got the tapes from 2 different cams for lots of the episodes (fisheye and long lens), so that's 2 tapes right there, which means 120 mins of raw footage condensed into 25 minutes.
I'm with those saying these could be better. I was expecting them to be cooler, but he's putting in way too much pointless filler. I'm down for raw, behind the scenes edits, but we don't need 20 minutes of Beagle trying a shit line he never really gets - edit that down to like, 3 minutes max. Honestly, after the first couple episodes I just skim through them now, and usually skip to the highlight reel at the end so I know if I need to sit through 25 minutes of Dustin Dollin only trying a rail he never landed 3 times.
