Asics in Japan have started entered skateboarding

That outsole = Hell no! (Visually fugly but I get the flexibility concept)

Version without the lace-savers and rubber toecap look marginally better....

They are almost really cool looking, sole is a little clunky but I like the fold over tongue

Out of my non skate shoes, Asics are hands down my most comfortable.
Gel Lytes are amazing

Damn I wondered when asics would jump in! I agree that they have lots of retro court models they could adapt but honestly these out of the box designs make me excited about what they will do. These are really weird but I would get them with a slight markdown probably.

Edit: damn I just noticed those olive ones. Interesting design for sure.

I skate theAsics PTG's and they're perfect. I strictly wear asics but these skate shoes are ugly as fuck.
