Reasons why I think Eldridge got let go:

- Unreliable: In the early days, TNC was still trying to find it's footing with regular hosts, guests, segments and content. Naturally, everyone was expected to bring something to the table. It was pretty obvious Eldridge was failing to deliver and even show up sometimes. Granted Crob was doing a lot of stuff infront and brhind the camera but you could tell he was tired and salty with Eldridge.

- Random spiel: Eldridge was regularly saying totally bizarre and random shit all the time. Heirloom tomatoes, baby talk, stripper confessions, one wiping his ass with no look... There's funny randomness and then there's thick as two planks stupid. Eldridge weighed heavily into the later category.

- Crob's soundboard: Crob doesnb't seem to face criticism or confrontation head on. Instead he hid behind his soundboard to rip into Eldridge's weaknesses and failures.

- Money: This is my personal opinion but I reckon money was also a reason Eldridge got cut. Whatever benefits TNC was making, Crob and Rog were never going to split earnings five ways. I am almost certain Steezus and Eldridge felt their participation in skateboarding's premier podcast earned them a proper salary but seeing how little relvancy either of them had to contemporary skateboarding or the actual running/production of the show, I can understand why they got paid in free merch instead.

Eldridge also farted on live air with no kind of remorse, he has a certain level of aloofness mixed stupidity that can be endearing but also annoying after some time. There was an episode of his pick of the week show when he was on his own where he was walking to a restaurant with his baby in a stroller, then props a tripod to talk in front of his phone with his baby behind him in what looked like a slanted sidewalk. All I kept thinking was hopefully that stroller doesn't just start rolling down the street because he wouldn't be able to tell right away, I tried looking for the episode but it looks like he deleted all of them.

I remember being totally blown away that his dumbass propped his baby up against a garbage can on a steep looking hill so he could review a burger joint. They used to do announcements whenever they would skip a week on Instagram but they stopped doing it a little while ago. They’ve skipped weeks before unannounced without letting people know. I think at this point they assume the audience understands that they’re reaching the end of guests left to interview in their format.

I have three friends who realllllly drank the AI kool-aide at first.
They'd get super defensive if I said anything remotely negative about it, like stunningly defensive and borderline angry, as though I insulted their grandma or something. They'd talk about using ChatGPT in bizarre ways like "It's such a time saver! I use it all the time, every day!" to the enthusiastic agreement of the other two. It felt like a fever dream, like I was in a ChatGPT commercial or something. Even going as far as saying weird, ominous stuff like "you should be nice to AI", damn near zizian sounding shit.
These are people I've known for decades and are seemingly thoughtful, normal people otherwise.

I will say, they've been pretty tight lipped about their AI worship for the past few months.
Hopefully they've gotten over it.

Yes requires a despicable amount of water and helps destroy small towns tht get snookered into bringing in data centers by using all their power and passing along the higher costs to the people whilst laying the groundwork for removing jobs from people. 

Not to mention, AI is how the government will be able to sift through all the data they collect (and people give access to) which is fun for 2016 targeting on steroids amongst other grim scenarios. 

There are some aspects of AI that are great in sectors like (ironically) conservation that for example can chart whale migration via a vis massive shipping container routes that can help prevent the whales from being slaughtered like flies on a windshield, but I’ve yet to see any actual need for personal use

Watched it and I think it was just another reminder that these dudes just don't have to the toolbox to deal with serious subject matter. It seemed like David Loy wanted to talk about heavy shit and references suicide on more than one occasion which they brush off real quick. They could have also discussed beforehand that Loy didn't want to talk about it, but that wasn't the impression I got. Overall pretty vapid interview of "partying on cruise ships is tight, Germany is tight, drugs are super fun until they're not, you skate all these classic spots but like different ya know."
