Ah man, I know you guys don't speak Portuguese but I wish I didn't hear this interview. Kaue came out sounding like a sore loser. Trying to cool guy Lucas saying that he doesn't really know his tricks and doesn't watch the games... Also calling Lucas out for doing the Fakie bs Noseslide 3x "just to win", which Lucas replied that everyone there wants to win, and sure Kaue wanted too. Bummer.
Basically, in the video above:
- Kauê said that Lucas is just a rookie, a
newbie, that Lucas grew up watching people like Kauê skate (which Mancha, the interviewer, said it was not true because Lucas is only 3 years younger)
- "Lucas was a fucking baby, watching kids shows, while I was on the streets"
- "I'm a street skater, only people who are real street skaters know that" - as if Lucas wasn't one
After that, the YouTube Channel Nordeste Skate made a quite angry, but in my honest opinion fair, video about the situation.
Kauê later apologized in a very confusing message that you can read in the Nordeste Skate IG page: he said that he was kind of anxious at the time, in part because of watching Fortunato breaking his arm. This is kind of weird, because he seemed pretty chill before the game with his
açaí.
I hope Vinicius wins S&G - just love his style and the genuinely happy aura he has when he's skating.
