In the current landscape of mass media consumption, there is something to be said about being able to subvert expectations. Lots of bits are not really funny but there is some fucking gold in that show. Like when he had the body double repeating everything the guest said

I like Element.

Not the Nyah part, not the mall-surf-skate vibe.

But I like their team (Tim Tim, Westgate, Levi, Barley...), I like the respect nature vibe, they have some good looking clothes (some atrocious too) and I thought the collab with National Geographic was pretty cool (and I never paid attention to collabs  before). Also, I always loved the euro team videos... And I wish I could go to their skate camp in the woods.

The did invent the Jersey Barrier, after all. Although maybe they come from the Bailiwick of Jersey. The french have contributed nothing to skateboarding, so I doubt it. Tom Penny gets a pass, though.

Although I actually love Biggie he's the most overrated rapper of all time with a catalog way to small to be considered 🐐 or anything like that. On top of that life after death was average. Very high highs sprinkled with alot of average shit was his short lived career.

I said Jay-Z was better than Biggie once and people got upset

Yup he's had some pretty successful singles and features: Got your money, Shimmy Ya, Ghetto Superstar, Whoo hah remix.

His first album lacked range but his second album 'Nigga Please' belongs in the Smithsonian. It's batshit insane but worth a listen because he basically does a bunch of coke while explaining how fame makes you racist.

to me they dont look comfortable to skate at all, are weirdly puffy, the colourways are childish and look what some middleschooler would wear. or if there would be a bully in stranger things.

the smooth leather must be horrible to skate. every shoe with smooth leather i ever had sucked for flicking.
the sole looks weirdly hard aswell. the laces look off.
They look to me like adio shoes. just done by nike.

Somehow the wole shoe screams obnoxious
i get "look at me i smoke weed all day" when seeing dunks in the wild.

I'm a dunk fan and shared your opinion til i tried them. They just "felt right" can't really explain it any other way.

I think a good skate shoe should give you this mixed feeling of wanting to skate them but also wanting to keep them fresh or double up. Dunks are the only skate shoe on the market that give me that feeling.

Deep down I want the accel og to be the best shoe on the market but it just "doesn't feel quite right".

It's not the hype, its not the branding, it's 100% how I feel putting them on
