The parks here in Montreal are tapped off with police caution tape.

Seems slightly more reasonable than dumping 37 tons of sand into a park.

How do they plan on cleaning it when everything opens. Doubt it’s a high priority when it does.

Leaf blowers?
[close]
Can’t imagine they will leaf blow 30 tons of sand, but I can imagine it would be easy to damage a park using heavy machinery. Also not my battle.
Guess they have to skate the streets
[close]

That video does not look like 30 tonnes of sand was dumped in there, but whatever.

I think that’s what they said for San Clemente so I was just guessing.
I’m sure jesse Martinez would lead blow it at 6am

Actually, I didn’t even realize there is a difference between tons and tonnes, and you might be right.

That's nothing, they welded hundreds of angle iron skatestoppers to all surfaces in the pre-fab parks in Houston. A disgrace which is guaranteed not to be fixed properly. Let's hope they don't fuck up EZ7 ditch too.

A homeless guy took a shit in the bowls at my local park. Not sure if it was set up by the city or not

Nothing a shop-vac can't fix.

Who the fuck is going to take the time to somehow get power and then probably have to unload the shop vac 60 times to suck all that up? You using a bag? If so there’s a few thousand in bag costs. No bag? Well there goes your filter and possibly the vac. This is a dumb fucking statement.

They closed all skateparks with red tape in my hometown. People just go street skating. I went to the city center today and I don‘t think I have ever seen that many skaters at these various spots. It is a beautiful thing. People tried to keep the distance too
and to stay in smaller groups.
