i can't read all 9 pages of this, but the one that has always stood out to me was a gift from a stranger.

i was playing a show in memphis at that bar that used to be elvis' dojo during a grizzlies playoff game. when we finished this guy (who turned out to be three 6 mafia's DJ) came up to me and started talking to me about ja morant. in that memphis twang he talked all about how much he feels like tom penny. i couldn't agree more

Not a comparison per say, but had to chime in on the somewhat odd colab between Kawhi Leonard and Tiago Lemos for New Balance.  I guess Kawhi had to appreciate another athlete that spends so much of his time on benches.  As far as comparisons though, how about Charles Oakley/ Mike Vallely.  Before getting traded to the Knicks, Oakley used to be the "enforcer" on the Chicago Bulls.  If you messed with MJ, you'd have to deal with Oakley.  Speaking of power forwards, also: Larry Johnson/ Sean Sheffey and Dennis Rodman/ Jeff Grosso.

Ok that was good but Kawhi is going crazy right now in the playoffs

Jason Williams makes me think of a cross between like Luan De Oliveira and an early 2000s PJ Ladd.
Seemingly technically gifted and a degree of spontaneity to how they might and do approach things, given their skillset is so large.
Although I think someone said Williams = Shane O' Neil and I kinda love that too. They both seem to know exactly how to handle their board or ball, and no matter what know exactly where it is and what it is doing in relation to their body.

Holy shit. Sorry to go off road, but I've suddenly realized Cristiano Ronaldo is the Nyjah of football (soccer).

And apparently Kobe Bryant is the Cristiano Ronaldo of basketball, based on the above + the fact that they're both not welcome in a GOAT debate.

Victor “Doobie” Pellegrin and Luka Doncic.

Both are revered and reviled in different circles and are distinctly European. Both are criticized for their behavior outside of their respective professions. Both have attitudes that people may view as “annoying”.

Who is God Shammgod though?
Where is Peja Stojokovich’s equal?
If there is a Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf comparison to be made, let it be known.

Same could be said for Daan.

Zion/Foy comparison is good, but Zion had all the hype and was a huge disappointment. On the other hand, nobody expected shit from the 2 big fat sloppy white boys who keep winning MVP and SOTY.

Jokic feels way more like Yuto to me

other one works but you didn't have to do Kuzma dirty like that..

Joker could be Foy - power and so good
AI - Mike Carroll - styles
Curry - Yuto? They make it look easy
SGA - Tyshawn

Out of time but I enjoyed the thought process.
