Anyone skate a 7.5 or 7.75 CCS blank deck before? Wanted to try em out cuz they weren’t too badly priced and the shipping is free but they don’t really put too much info on their website for them except for the width. Anyone know what the length and wheelbases are?? If they’re mellow or steep? Emailed them asking days ago but no response.

Not sure what MJ skates these days but throughout most of the 2000s he was on a 7.62

I guess this is the downside. Broke my board on a backside board slide on a flat bar lol smh. That was only the third session on the board.

For reference, I’m 6’1”, 190lbs.

(7.81”)

I hover around 190 as well, yes the wee little decks definitely feel dead or break more at our weight. I have heard people say otherwise, but I know the truth. Still worth it though.

5’9, size 8-8.5 shoe, anywhere between 173-177 lbs depending on the time of day, and I don’t have an issue with 7.75s snapping too quickly. I’ll get a second or third day board break here n there, but that happened when I would skate 8.5s too, sometimes you just get a dud.

Funny enough I went like a year and a half without doing boardslides and that has got to be part of the reason I snapped this deck on one.

Are you talking about the wheelbase? I’m pretty sure the WB was 14”

Forbidden 14 refers to the practice of not using the space between the trucks (no boardslides, nor lipslides, etc).

I rarely break boards, but when I do it feels awesome.

Haha yeah I’ve always loved nerding out on what the pros ride, it’s so trivial but I always found it so interesting, like finding out that daewon can do all those crazy manual tricks with no top bushing in his front truck, or Greco filming some of the gnarliest shit ever skating an 8.5 with 129s, or Cardiel skating all those crazy bowls and pools on a 7.5, etc.

7.6 x 31.75 x 13.8 wb
Tactics says a different wb and length (14 and 31.25) but 3 other websites claim 13.8 and 31.75
$39
This came in today, and it is actually 13.8 wb with a 31.25 length. Bummed about the length and steep concave, but the shape of the nose and tail is pointy which i like. It will do the job, but I'm thankful that my Jahmal is still pretty new.

How is it ?

Just set it up this morning. Haven’t really skated it yet. This setup was not completely needed, but what the hell. I’ve just rolled to the mailbox and back. I have a feeling I’m going to like it a lot though. Last few were 7.75s. Will report back after a few sessions.

Sick! I've got one of those 7.5 Primes, but I gave it to my son (in hopes that he will try to skate it)
Also Venture Lo 5.0s on it. But Spitfire 52s (my dude hit a rock and slammed solid last time he skated , so I'm trying to help his rock skills)

He loves the Man Wolfs so I printed out this sticker-graphic for motivation, and put on rails so he won't lose it, in theory.

Is it a PS Toy? PS measures their boards with the curvature of the board, so whatever they have labeled as the length or width usually always ends up coming out shorter if you were to measure it straight across.

Gnar for trying to get him into it! That’s so sick. What an awesome fucking setup too.

I held it up to my Hopps deck when I got home and its actually longer than what Im skating now. Now I'm a little more pumped on it. The shape of the kicks brings me right back to the late 90's. Wish I could still skate it like back then..  :-\

If you are ever super bored, post a concave profile pic please. That shape, with a flat concave seems like it would be the most fun. @romliss setup is basically what I want, but smaller. The kicks on his boards look straight outta the first girl/chocolate shapes

I'm pretty bored right now, give me a few minutes and I will get a pic. But unfortunately it is very far from flat. Steep concave, especially for a 7.6 and very steep kicks. I will be so f'd up on this thing.
