F**k it, this convinced me to go down to 7.75.  Been riding 8.25 or two years now, and rode 8 for 5+ years prior.  I use to really love riding 7.75 with some venture lows but 8s were the smallest I could get at skateshops, and east coast roads suck cock.

Just a found a brandnew NOS habitat deck in size 7.62. Hopefully I will get that in next week. I ordered some 39mm wheels and venture lows to go with it.

Never rode a board under 8 inches. I want to try something under 8. Should i go indy 129 or venture 5high or 5 low? Im leaning towards to venture to make it interesting. Idk if i should go hi or low tho. Whats the differences / reccomendations?

Venture 5 lows in my opinion are fantastic with sub 8 decks

Venture low

I cant imagine the wheelbite you get if you have a wheel over 52mm with lows. Probably got to run 50mm wheels and less right?

UPDATE.  Got me a blank 7.75x31.2 with a 13.88 WB and some venture lo 5s.  Feels good to be home!!!!  8)

I rode 56mm conicals on a 7.75 toy machine when I first started skating again almost a year ago. I had no issues. It did fine for me before I started skating bigger shaped boards again.

I enjoy looking at this thread even though I've been pretty much exclusively on 8.25s for the last few years. My teenage years were all spent on 7.75 and below.

Even though I'm certain won't be good for my skating I keep getting tempted to build a skinny setup.

send it! Ive been riding 8.25 since 2020 but I just got a 7.75 again, and it feels great.  I will still use the 8.25 for when I hit the skate park though, or to just cruise.

I usually prefer the  flexy worn in feel of psstix but getting used to dwindle the wood feels decent. The board is on the stiffer side but I’m not minding it as much

I love them. These are bit small maybe, but they still work.
44mm seems to be the sweet spot.

But for the price they ask for these 22 euro's these are REALLY good. (it's half the price of other brands ... also half the urethane  ;D).

3rd setup I use these hardware with. So far minimal pressure cracks and I never had to tighten my hardware. Once they set I never had to check em.  Labor is one of my locals yea

This vs palace. Palace taper more. Mini logo is flatter and mellower
