Why not just start a new brand? The 2nd incarnation wasn’t that bad. Maldonado, Kevin Taylor, Kyle Nicholson. They should just let it die.

I only had the white leather Mariano’s, and they weren’t the best. Remember them being VERY stiff

Just saw the little teaser they have on their instagram, look more like vulcs and slip ones than actual axion shoes. Feel bad for anyone holding out hope for classic puffy shoes like the recent es reissues. This looks more like a axion in name only much like emerica nowadays.

Alex Olson never had the makings of a varsity athlete.

If you have to restart a brand for the third time that's probably a sign

Perhaps this will be the triumphant return of Kyle nicholson...

I love Kyle Nicholson, but disagree with the ”triumphant return.” He’s been quietly killing it with Scumco for some time.

Their instagram page makes the brand look like a combination of Straye and iDabble. I cant think of a more appalling duo

Team is disgusting, Marketing is trash.  Launching with 3 white huckers and 0 diversity completely shits on everything that made Axion what it was. This brand needs to disappear already.

I would buy Kyle Nicholson axion shoes if Kareem Campbell atleast pretended he was involved in the design/marketing

All of the old brands that Kareem started have all been revamped without him, and they’ve all failed horribly. I’d love to see Axion return to its former glory, but we all know that isn’t happening. What I wanna know is who tf is funding these projects? Do people have so much money that they’re willing to throw it into guaranteed dumpster fire business ideas? Guy and Gino are Nike’d out at this point, same with BA, and Kareem isn’t a part of it so we’re guaranteed to get zero KCK reissues, so where’s the appeal? Throwing three skaters who’s names don’t sell many boards who all have an aesthetic that’s the antithesis of what Axion was isn’t exactly a marketing agent’s wet dream.

I skated lots of Axion’s way back when. The KCK’s, Millennium’s, KC 2000’s, and the Mariano’s with the rubber toe cap were all great shoes, and I’d 100% buy them if they stuck to retroing old models exclusively. And they have to be exactly as they were, no omitting air bags bc “bro it’s too expensive, bc business man.”

At least when you're a washed-out hipster douchebag in NY, you can milk it at some decent looking, hard to skate spots. In LA you're just a tan-lined faggot in a school yard somewhere.

It doesn’t, that’s a plastic decal. It’s supposed to make it look like it has an airbag, similar to what PayLess does with their shoe designs, it’s just hard plastic with zero shock absorption.

And it was confirmed twice there are actual air-bubbles in there. Not plastic.

Not sure of the toe cap is rubber though...

Not going to lie, those actually do look pretty good. They could have saved themselves from getting roasted by everyone who saw that promo by just including a single shot of those.
