Got a link or photo for the duffs Kck? I know duffs redid them, and I think Watson had a pair, but they were a lot different. Also, I think that reissue was In the uk? Thaa as joe for the link in advance

All of the old brands that Kareem started have all been revamped without him, and they’ve all failed horribly. I’d love to see Axion return to its former glory, but we all know that isn’t happening. What I wanna know is who tf is funding these projects? Do people have so much money that they’re willing to throw it into guaranteed dumpster fire business ideas? Guy and Gino are Nike’d out at this point, same with BA, and Kareem isn’t a part of it so we’re guaranteed to get zero KCK reissues, so where’s the appeal? Throwing three skaters who’s names don’t sell many boards who all have an aesthetic that’s the antithesis of what Axion was isn’t exactly a marketing agent’s wet dream.

I skated lots of Axion’s way back when. The KCK’s, Millennium’s, KC 2000’s, and the Mariano’s with the rubber toe cap were all great shoes, and I’d 100% buy them if they stuck to retroing old models exclusively. And they have to be exactly as they were, no omitting air bags bc “bro it’s too expensive, bc business man.”
[close]

I agree with everything you said but were KCK’s not duffs?

What a disgusting three pros to start a shoe brand (3rd time) with, not one of their names is ringing any bells.
[close]

Originally yes, but Axion also had a few KCK models as well.

I think there’s a Chinese company who currently makes Duffs KCK’s, without variation.

I know there were some Duffs KCKs made within the last couple years that were (only?) available in Australia, but they looked way off.

I don’t particularly like Cyril’s skating but he obviously puts in work.  I’ve had a tough 2019-2020 but cyril went from baker/DC to Axion and no board sponsor?  Someone give this guy a hug and buy him a meal!  I feel like you deserve to have a go fund me if you ride for Axion footwear in 2020.

Dude must have kooked it pretty hard. DC pushed him pretty hard there for a while, and then no mention from him leaving. He's been skating nikes since at least May. They got sick of his rap
Nah, you got it confused... it was Baker that got sick of his rap.
DC just got sick of his lack of Baker, or any other brand backing to legitimize his place on their roster.
Seems such a shame to throw away a perfectly good skateboarder like that.

I read the word "axion" in skate mags for solid decade before I ever heard anyone pronounce it. I 100% thought it was "axe-eye-on"

Same for éS, now that I think of it, though I think I at least knew I didn't have it right.

And I guess i still don't know if I ever said Savier correctly. "Sav-e-yer"? "Savior"?

was Vita "Vie-ta" or "Vee-ta"?

What is it with failing shoe companies and words

Wasn't there rumor he's been chillen (even touring) with the Sk8Mafia dudes? I think he fits that team. Would need to move to San Diego though.

Vita is a word meaning life so I won’t give you that one, but the others I buy

“Time for some axion” should give a hint, but I’ll admit I first read it as Axiom and Matix and Matrix back in the day

Savier I always assumed was like Savior, but I guess it’s like Javier
eS everyone I know said E-S and I just prefer that

“é” is French and pronounced “ay”.  So éS should really be pronounced “ace”.

His survival part is actually very good, I wish the best for him and for the record anytime he is in Portland I will hook him up, with subpar skate spots but excellent food.

Skate mafia team and shoes sponsors

Wes =dc
Alexis=dc
Tyler = NB
New kid=can’t recall
Everyone else =  nothing but flow
Cyril?= Axion?

To me it seems skate mafia isn’t a great gateway to footwear opportunities

Team is disgusting, Marketing is trash.  Launching with 3 white huckers and 0 diversity completely shits on everything that made Axion what it was. This brand needs to disappear already.
[close]

Who is on the team
[close]

Jamie Tancowny, Sierra Fellers, and Nick Merlino.

Not saying these guys aren't good skateboarders. Just a really bad fit for axion.

God, this must be one of the worst team out there. Also, because the most relevant is Merlino.

Aren't they more like "owners"? Kareem must be fuming.
The '80s were the worst period. You had these horrible pop bands growing their hair and calling themselves metal.

nope, in international phonetic alphabet, é sounds like /e/
correct pronouciation is /e/-/s/ with a quick pause inbetween

If you go to the early release page, either a pic of Kareem or someone in full cosplay mode...looks like he may be involved in the reboot

Kareem's on their website, so it looks like he is involved.  Too bad they missed out on him wearing Axion for Tony Hawk.
Early store code is LEGACY2020.

$98 USD + $29 shipping to Canada = $168 CDN. Can't do it.
