LOL you're absolutely correct I just did call out almost everyone - that's why it's called the 2021 unpopular opinion thread.

It's all preference - I think having wide wheels on <8.5 axles looks goofy ass training wheel Fisher Price truck vroom vroom as fuck.  It's even worse when kids at the park are riding wide wheels worn down to less mm than the riding surface of the the wheel - there should be a law outlawing this wheel height:riding surface ratio atrocity. 

EDIT: I love having as much grindable hangar real estate exposed as possible.  Conicals reduce that, esp. on smaller trucks.  It was cool in the late 80's when trucks were averaging around 9-10"s.  I get the purpose of a square conical wheel like F4 conical fulls, I used to ride them on my 169s, but even then I'd use 2-3 axle washers on the inside to get me my full grind.

I agree aesthetically, but there’s a bunch of spots I wouldn’t be able to skate (or would be a lot more difficult) without some conical fulls.

90/270 degree shove it's and flips into or out of slide tricks all have to go. Spinning the same direction as the board (bigspin/bigflips) is fine.

Backtail shove is kinda the exception but for the sake of the argument it can also go away. It's not that much harder to just do backtail bigspin instead of shove anyway

The slimmed down lynx s from 2013ish didn't get enough love at the time. Especially with how many people I see wearing whatever those budget shoe warehouse lynx I see these days.

I'm not an og lynx fan. I wasn't into them at the time and don't understand it now. If people want to wear them that's fine but please be careful with your ankles.

The lynx og is the comfiest skate shoe I’ve worn in years, and my ankles have been fucked a long time. I worked a split shift yesterday, first half in tiagos, was limping after two hours. Went home and swapped out for the lynx og and was fine for the rest of the day. Tbh I don’t like the flick on them, my fs flips and tres in them are garbage, otherwise I’d wear nothing else

I am wearing the DC x Cyrcle ones right now and use them when i need a comfortable pair of shoes to walk in) OG's are still comfy as fuck (certain ones are better than others (different tongue thickness etc))  the new LYNX Zero isnt that great of a skate shoe.

Ok so I'm sure there's a thread on this but what's the most comfortable skate shoe ? I would have thought Tiagos but seems that people are saying they're not.

It's a different type of comfort but I just love the classic vans era. I can walk all day in them and my feet feel fine. I used to wear them running too.

The Tiago DC's were probably way more comfy than the Tiago NBs. That 2012-2016 run of DC's were slept on hard. It was right before the DC comeback but I think the shoes they made then were actually better. The Mike mos might be the best skate shoe of all time but slightly more squishy comfort would be the first Cole lites. They look bulky in pics but really aren't. They were like a perfect cupsole era pro (that's grip felt more vulc than any other vulc at the time)
