I am riding a 8.5" FA board with 14.25" wheelbase... I never thought about wheelbase until riding this board. It feels really "short" and I love it. I thought I was going to try it out just for fun but now I might turn into one of those ppl who only rides FA/Hockey boards.

Didn't see if it was posted but Blood Wizard 8.5's have been 14.25 with shorter tails for a long time. I think they're changing up their shapes now though.

Also just skated an 8.75x32 14.25 Madness, hopefully they continue making it.

the new one at 9" probably needs a smaller truck, maybe a 149. those fish shapes taper about 0.5" from widest point to the back...and about 0.25 over front truck, so you always get a bit of a magic carpet over front, but thats your steering wheel so should be fine.

this is all my best guess, and I also dont like my trucks flush with the the deck...so, someone else may have better idea on the truck size

Picked up a Fancy Lad deck from the local last night. Everywhere online it said 8.5 with a 14.5wb but in real life it was 14.25 so I snagged it. Every other 8.5 in stock had a 14.5wb and short tail.

32" length would be better, but this is a win for sure.

* I just gripped it and remeasured the wb, it is almost 14 1/4 but this shape and concave is going to be an all time favorite guaranteed.
