You motherfuckers got in my head and I haven't done a boardslide or lipslide with my last board or the one I'm on now. Honestly, it's been great.

Forbidden 14- guys, you realize both board- and lipslides are lots of fun, right?

You're missing out.

Two sessions in and I just can’t get into this proto so it’ll go to someone at the skate park. I like the scrapes though.

I like to avoid the 14 until I mess up some grinds and dirty it up anyway. Then it's free game. Lipslides are too fun to avoid.

They are also only illegal on ledges. Rails and transition are fair game. Still not going to stop bs lip sliding ledges though.

I can't tell if there was graphic on the nose/tail to begin with and you slid it so hard that you're hitting the veneer colors.

This one's pretty.

Anyone rode a SC or Creature Everslick recently? I've been working on my tailslides and thought of mixing it up with a slick.

Yeah that thing is nuts!

Sure did get your moneys worth from that one and it is the sort of pic I would love to show kids who would come in complaining that they have a bit of wear on their trucks and need new ones, when usually their trucks are not even a mm down or barely grooved.

I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

Right?!?
“Listen kid, you either take them down to the axle, or you take it back outside the door to my shop! No wimps allowed.”
Seriously though, I’ve been into the axle on one set of trucks for a while now, and they’ve never ground better; they feel like magic. Kids may not be aware of the fun they’re missing out on.
I’m not content to just expose the steel though, I’m presently trying to “cut them in half” by grinding them to a point that they fail structurally. Been a little while since I’ve actually pulled that one off.

Gold showing through before the green ply. Pretty tasteful in relation to the statue on the graphic. Also staying away from the forbidden 14 at the moment.

Love that QC board wish I had more. I’ve had a few.

Here’s some of my boards over the last 8 months or so.

Edit: How is everyone posting photos so big? I use the add image to post button, and they always come out tiny.

I am sure there are other ways, but when I do this on a normal computer, I can copy and paste links a lot more easily.

Reply to this post and look at the plain text.  You can change the image from the thumbnail to the actual image, which will make it a lot bigger, but I usually go into the link and bring up the full image to see details too.

havent had a yellow woodgrain since the 90s.  forgot how cool they looked with some scrapes.

3rd session on the 33 AF1s, and they're breaking in nicely.  trying to work in a little groove.

Not exactly scrapes, but I just love the way the rails on dipped boards look when they start getting chewed up

I recall seeing one guy who had machined off the dipped paint on just the edge of his Natas special which looked amazing.

And I get what you are saying too, shows wear and life, etc.

Fully dipped decks look a little too new and funny to me.

+1 for respecting the forbidden 14. What do you like about DSM R7 versus Generator? I got a Blind R7 to test out a DSM but the concave was mellow with steep kicks, plus the WB was a touch long for my liking.

Looking good! Im hoping to have my current set up look like this. Gonna stay off smiths, as that's what usually leads to me just saying fuck it and going for lip slides.

I have had about 8-9 R7s in the past few years and every time I have skated one they all are very consistent. The pop is solid but has a slight springiness similar to a PS deck but still feels strong.. I also am a chubby old guy (38yo 210 lbs 5,10”) and I skate low impact but land hard on certain tricks so i will get a deck soggy in 2-3 weeks of skating daily. Sorry for rambling! Lol hope this helps  ✌🏼
