Woodshop list updated again, not too many changed / added but there are always a few.

Thank you @GumOnMyGrip for the TOPX info, @moonordie for the HLC and others on the last page.

Looking at some of these other online shops, there are so many new / smaller deck brands on them I have never heard of, so if anyone has any others to add, I am always keen to put more on the list.

The funny thing is some I looked at had been on instagram for a long time, but I guess they only have their boards in a few local shops or in certain areas.

I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

On Danny Way's Instagram story, he's showing off HLC.

I'm still wondering about Colours Collectiv. Bought a deck on a whim, and it was the best I've had in years. Then got another one, and it was a dud. Really curious about what woodshop it could be.

They are listed under Dwindle / DSM so unless they went with someone else to supply them, eg for a different country to where they are normally distributed, as can often be the case between USA and other places like EU or Asia, might just have been one of those things where one board felt better than the other.

Thanks - that was cool to see.  Some of the other guys like Felipe Gustavo had some more on his story too.

My small brand, Fortress, uses AD. Really digging these boards. I’ll have this new run on my website soon.

[close]

Yeah, rad!

I updated the list with everything from this page now.

Not sure as Fortress was already on the list under Clutch, so should that just be removed or was that round # 1 or unknown / other company maybe?

** Just checked your instagram and the Bound (boobs) board looks like it is on clutch, so all good there.
[close]
Yep. First run was Clutch. I’m going to try and stick with AD moving forward.

8.5 and 8.75 with a 14.25wb?! That’s awesome. What’s the concave and kicks like?

Anyone ever heard of a 8.375 AWS shape with a 31.5" L and 14" wb? I just assumed it was their 8.3x32.25x14.3 Dumb move(especially with a 8.375) I looked it up on one of the big sites after the fact and those are the specs I found.

Is it a current board or an older one, or do you have a pic?

If you already bought it, does it have PS Stix # on top or just the Alien Workshop logo etched, which would be BBS, unless it was one of those from China when things were a bit funny in the woodshop world, or even HLC in EU when they were doing some.

There are a few 8.375 decks on their web site, but all appear to have the standard size and wheelbase, pretty much as you had shown.

https://www.alienworkshop.com/

Three different decks of the same width show different wheelbases, so who knows, but as others have said, their board measurements are often out.

8.375 X 32.25 WB 14.25
8.375 X 32.25 WB 14.375 * about the same dimensions as the one I have here (older graphic though)
8.375 X 32.25 WB 14.4

I am curious now to know more.

Thanks for the reply man..I'm glad your interested @Woodshop , because this is getting even better now. On the AWS site the measurements are not even listed (and only for this deck.) So I dm'd them like a man and they told me it is 8.375 X 32.5 X 14.5 If that's the case I'm bummed because those measurements suck balls. Lesson learned don't get f'd up and order online.

Was it from Parade, which in turn comes back to this deck:

https://www.paradeworld.com/products/aw-frankie-revelation-8375-304-6797161005242/

https://amateurathleteskateshop.com/collections/skate-decks/products/aw-frankie-revelation-8-375

Weird because there seems to be almost no mention of that deck anywhere else, besides their site and the AWS site that I can find, and not too many other dimensions on their other boards, that I have seen, but those other boards do appear correct, going by boards I know / other sites and shop dimensions.

So just to check, you were keen on the shorter board, but if it is the longer one, you will not be at all stoked on the size and shape?

Well it sure seems like it will be the short measurements. I would rather have those short specs than the really long ones that AWS told me. Neither are really appealing to me tbh, because I love my current one with the 32.25 length and 14.3. wb

The shape is like a slightly steeper AWS.
Definitely steeper than I’ve ridden in a while, but nothing drastic

https://alienworkshop.com/collections/decks/products/owlien-twin-8-375-p-b

Dimensions
8.375 X 32.25 WB 14.25
Proprietary symmetrical shape

The Owlien twin is 8.375 and there has been a bit of talk about it on the Twin tail thread:

https://www.slapmagazine.com/index.php?topic=105756.360

Did anyone ever pick up the AWS Owlien Twin?
[close]

I messaged @PrettyRicki about that one and he said the wheelbase is actually 14.375 instead of 14.25.
A friend of mine recently got it and also confirmed that the wheelbase is longer.
Tails are about 6.875"

I would still say overall it is a decent board, good dimensions, twin kicks, good shape if you are into that size.

The boards in the twin variety in the 8.175 range are more the Deathwish Neen, or a couple of others, also on the twin tails thread.

Some great info in that thread if you are into twin shapes.

Just to add more here, same as I put up on the Twin Tail thread:

Anyone try the 8.175 Alien? Yaje said it was twin tail when it was his pro model

The info I have on that one is pretty slim, which has been out of stock for a while now.

Product code: aw100 Item has been discontinued

https://www.alienworkshop.com/products/yaje-popson-x-burial

(So old the page does not exist any more)

ALIEN WORKSHOP
X Burial Yaje Popson Skateboard Deck 8.175''

The only current 8.175 board in stock that comes up on any searches shows it is not a twin.

I went looking for the top to see the shape better and found a good one of it.

I can see the BBS hologram sticker on the top of these boards (over the back truck bolts) so it would be interesting to see if they are the same everywhere.

As per the previous post, the site also has all dimensions of these decks, which is always nice.

I'm riding the 2021 version of BLVD, not sure if it's Clutch.

I saw on page 1 Lurkville is Clutch and they have the similar white round sticker, didn't notice the usual lettering marks on the front mounting bolts.

Both are under Clutch.

I haven't seen any in person that I can recall, but I know from other boards, which had a smaller round size sticker usually over the number / letter stamps, so it could quite easily be from Clutch.

Someone else has those same stickers, but again I cannot recall who it was right now.

I did find another BLVD deck that appears to have the number / letter stamp on it but the pic is fairly grainy and it is an old deck too.

@Woodshop My deck came today, and it is the exact measurements of my current one. So in summary both quoted measurements were incorrect, and it worked out perfect.

So what are the actual measurements of that board, given I have heard AWS seems to have the wrong measurements up on the site for a few of the current decks?

Edit: The AWS deck of similar size I have is about 8.375 X 32.25 WB 14.38 which is pretty comfortable for me.

BLVD used to be clutch but the last one I picked up in mid 2020 was from a different wood shop. It was much steeper in both the kicks and concave and has imprints on the bottom of the deck in the center of both the truck holes in the shape of a football. It seems like it would be an alright board but its no clutch. I wonder if lurkville switched too or if it was just one of those random covid runs.

Could be, not skated a Clutch board, playing it safe with BBS. Whatever woodshop this is the board feels just slightly above average, lacks the trademark snap of BBS but for the price I won't complain.

Re different wood, maybe guess it was one of the same type of woodshops from China that are supplying boards to a lot of smaller brands, concave similar to Dwindle, from what I have seen and what others are saying.

I noticed on comments on the Instagram account (which has the last post in March 2021) people were asking "What happened?" so is the company even still around or has it gone?

Same with Syndrome Dist companies in general, which might have gone under, the individual brands going elsewhere or just doing it themselves, but Lurkville is still very active in posts and info.

Anyone got any more info on that?

*** As if someone knew, there is a new post from Syndrome Dist just now for wheels, so maybe production and supply issues have been the problem, as per other places who are struggling to get product still.

These looked like Clutch, from the top stamp area when zoomed in but I could be wrong.

You might need to message them to ask who they are using for wood.

This was from six weeks ago:

I don't recall seeing it on there from looking at the various HLC websites, but I guess it could have been.

Looking back over two years on their Instagram and I cannot find one mention of anything other than the other brands they had listed, even Habitat back in 2019 from this post, but no Sour (unless we had it wrong and they were Dwindle or something else like that all along) but who knows.

They might be one of those brands that just don't want the association displayed and have kept the rights to their product for their own sale and distribution, while still getting boards done there too, given all the other info that points clearly to their boards coming from there right up until recently, it seems.

Has this been posted? Lovenskate 9" football shape, with a 14" wheelbase: https://lovenskate.com/shop/skateboards/on-your-bike-boris/

I don't recall seeing much at all of Lovenskate as a brand.

Woodshop list has it as Pennswood, but all their boards I have looked up have short wheelbases, eg:

An 5 colour screen print on the finest boards direct from Pennswood.

9″ with a 14″ Wheelbase.

Not sure how much coverage they get in US or places other than England though.
