almost rewatched this for underwhelmingness, but decided not to. not sure whether to be proud i withstanded the impulse, or sad because of the sucky situation of skate

Reminds me of when El Toro was the holy grail of spots to get a trick at, and random unknowns would go and do melon grabs and shit down it just to be able to claim an NBD.

I can't hate on this. It's a 15 year old kid getting a trick on insane spot and being super hyped on it at the same time. Yeah he might disappear from the big skateboarding scene after this. But he did this trick on an insanely dangerous spot that hasn't been conquered that much.  I don't care for the trick or how well it's been done - but I have to respect what he did since it is so dangerous.

Give the kid a high five and get on with your day instead of hating on some little kid.

Overacting homies are almost as bad as that half flab.  Look, any trick into that is fucked but that's only a bit better than an acid drop into it.  Considering what else has been done...

"Just cuz you got the power/that dont mean you got the right"

Yo if he was 15 and did this with no cameras, no midler, no cariumas, no berrics, no puberty scream, he'd have been in the clear. Its the fuckboyish way this was completed that was objectionable.

Cardiel did this shit in the dark with a beta max and some beers, show some respect
nobody says “rootin tootin” anymore to describe how gas the session was and it makes me sick

Yeah, dude should have never acted liked he was 15, in LA for the first time and landed a trick on a spot he had only seen in videos.

Bet the kid has never even done designer drugs. Loser.

Kid has some balls but this was wack. Stop skating the car wash and get your own spot. Such a stupid thing to do if you’re a young skater trying to make it too.

When we had the discussion last year I remember a bunch of people writing with great confidence that the car wash would never become the next El Toro because it’s just too gnarly, and I kind of believed it. Barely a year later and an unknown kid does a new trick on it for a Cariuma web clip.

I mean, I understand all the complaints but at the end of the day this is fucked.  Anyone who has seen this spot in person would agree, props to this young 'un.

Don't care much for the Berrics or Carmex shoes, but when I see the title of this post there is only one thing I think of.

Carmex shoes
The insoles are schlacked with medicated lip balm, you can hear an audible (squish) every time you put em on

Is the Griddle Cafe across the street still open? Every time I ate there, I could never finish those huge fuckin' pancakes they serve. I usually have to take home a doggy bag but then the pancakes don't really hold up when I eat them the next day. (Do any Pals have good tips for how to reheat leftover pancakes, some with chocolate and/or whip cream accoutrements? Much appreciated.) Side note: Griddle Cafe gets pretty busy on the weekends, and the concierge uses a really complex 3-line system for letting patrons in, but it's worth the wait (if you want to eat your weight in pancakes). Yum!

Get the toppings on the side where possible, my g. No need to spoil the whole plate when you can put them where you need them and take the rest of your massive pancakes home.

Hard to figure out what the worst part of this all is. For me its a tie between the fake narrative, and the fact that that's the easiest trick ever done there.

I heard of this new shoe company called Cramiuca that are making sustainable shoes.  I don't know anything about them besides that they're affilliated with a religious organization called Aum Shinrikyo or something.  Because we need more shoe companies, I will not concern myself with any further details.
