The foundation logo is a moon with a star, obviously a joke post looking like he’s mid calling them out for ripping it off. Foundation hasn’t been relevant for a while so I’m assuming anyone not familiar with the logo is young/dumb. Not your fault....go watch that’s life.

Glick looks like Albert Hammond Jr. from The Strokes. Dude puts on a mean live show as a solo act. Turn of the century Indie rock probably isn’t well received on Slap, but that’s fine. The similarities are uncanny.

I don’t think Strokes are considered indie rock by any metric.   I think they get lumped under the 00s rock revival with White Stripes and a bunch of The (thing) type bands in the grand classification of things, or that post 9/11 NY scene with Interpol and Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Have been meaning to.  I guess there’s also a difference if you’re in the UK or US.  I used to read NME often enough back then and they referred to all rock as indie that wasn’t selling out stadia
