Surely a mobbed ass switch flip with a foot dragged landing will revive the reputation of this previously botched truck company.....

I'm rooting for oski, I really am. I think the trucks are cool, but come on. You gotta come correct if you're rebooting a company that never got off the ground and failed like a year or two ago.

Not to mention GX level speed wobbles on a slight incline :P

Noticed that as well lol

Looks like he ate shit, too with that quick cut at the end before he put his hand down.

Maybe we're supposed to be impressed with his fit and the overall color coordination of it and the ad?
Facts being spoken in here. Also aesthetically they look quite ugly being that tall but that's ofc a personal intake.

*Update: after seeing this Ville clip sure they look tall af and quite horrible.

Sir, I'm going to politely, but firmly, ask you and your common sense to leave this establishment.

Being one of Slaps resident truck collectors (although tbh it's @Xen 's world, we're just living in it <3) I will definitely be grabbing a pair of the gen 2s. I have a set of gen 1s in the original packaging (shout out @C.H.U.D.) that will be a nice piece of skate history to hold on to.

I skated a sample set of the Gen 2s briefly, so I know what I'm getting into. They're definitely super tall and the "anti wheel bite" design actually prevents pinch on some tricks, like feebles did NOT work for me when I tried them. That being said, they're super fun and surfy, the grind is nice, and the looks are so wild I can't help but love them. Will grab a pair, ride them for a bit and just have some fun.

@BartHarleyJarvis - It's quite possibly the one truck I have zero interest in.

Totally, I imagine most people will feel the same. Real skaters my hear about them but not be interested. Casuals *might* see them in a store and then find out what they cost. Even for me, it's more a novelty than anything

The only instance I'd even think about them would be if I was fully commited to bowl skating and 55mm+ wheels...and even then they would have to provide something over a Stage IV / XI and I'm just not seeing it.

Problems aside, I liked how the OG’s skated. They worked excellent for me, and I exclusively skate street.

But I likely will not be buying v2’s. It simply is too costly for me as someone who rides varying size setups.

The curiousity and desire are there, just feel like I’ve already wasted a good amount of money on the originals.

They pinch better than Indy or Ace and were great. I really liked them as a street truck and would ride them over either of those brands if they skate the same. The measurements don't make sense once you're skating them. I thought I'd hate them but somehow they were super enjoyable.

But then they fell apart several times in a session and that was that.

Surely less than the Swedish made ones, yes?

I realllly dislike the way these things look in footage. The antithesis to aerodynamic. So many harsh lines and angles.
Would rather run some Kreepers.

The T Hanger seems like a bad idea we moved on from along time ago, for both strength and aesthetics.

Based on what we saw you do to some Indys, I look forward to seeing how these hold up for you.

These seems reasonable. Especially considering the price of wheels to me. I enjoy the PS2 graphic look.

Plus, I have a pair of the original ones and can use that hangar once I get through the new ones… right?!?!

I know a lot of people have said they’re indifferent to these, but for some reason I’m obsessed with them. the shape of the hanger is so intriguing. even the flat yellow bushings I’m digging for some odd reason. not crazy about the height, but I’m still getting them. 😝
This has me cracking up, what exactly does Black Flag have to do with measuring your dick starting behind ya nuts?

ben reviewed them.

Even in this he says "i would feel better with smaller wheels" but attributes it to weight. He does look like he's putting in alot to ollie. Smaller wheels (or lower trucks) would "snap" earlier giving better pop?

In my case at least, being 35 it's easier/faster to pop with say, aces and mellow kicks vs like, Indys and 56mm+ wheels or something. The angle is lower so the tail hits the ground slightly earlier and it's slightly less athletic I guess to leave the ground. Based on his review they seem like a middle ground between ace and Indy kinda. Curious to see how they affect the wheelbase vs the other truck brands. Honestly I'd still rather just skate aces with risers than these but they look cool

I can't do the calculations, but my mental simulation suggests that if you keep everything at a lower angle to make it easier to pop, you might have to use your muscles more to get enough pop. I don't know, there might be a sweet spot angle. And this angle could vary with different tail lengths, tail steepness, truck wheelbases, wheel sizes, truck heights... so many parameters. We need Professor Schmitt here.

Another variable I find with pop angle beyond the distance of the tail to the ground is the amount of leverage said pop angle gives your front foot to pull up the board. I find with a lower pop angle my front foot airballs more and I can't suck up the board nearly as high.

I have been waiting for these since they announced their relaunch, they seem like a goldilocks truck to me as I've been flipping back and forth between thunder hollowlights and indy forged hollows both with 1/8" riser and Ace bottom bushings.

Kinda depends on how you pop and how much you need? Tall trucks, big wheels, steep kicks = HUGE effort to pop in comparison to say, low trucks, small wheels mellow kicks...I learned to ollie big stuff on steep skicks, tall/regular trucks and big wheels...then look at jake hayes...https://www.instagram.com/reel/C5TgPMprJX_/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

Yes, we choose words for brands. If it's Spitfire, it grips or slides easily. If it's anything else, it's sticky or icy. If it's BBS, it's crisp or has flex. If it's anything else, it's stiff or soggy. So, if you're not Indy, you're tall and heavy. If you're Indy, you're the industry standard, solid pop...

(I love Ben DeGros, but I still blame him for these subliminal messages. If I can't learn consistent kickflips in the next two months with my Indys and 56 mm wheels, I'll blame him more because he's in my brain. @Xen also hinted that I should blame him with his Jack Hayes comment. lol)
