Who cares they're not meant to be the same thing which is why they exist. It's kinda like sayin Habitat is better than Alien these days, which could be true, but they're no longer the same duo they were when the child company was founded.

To me Deathwish is kind of a hesh Real, not in bad way either

In damn near every thread someone comes in hot with the "who cares". Such a low effort, predicable attempt at making a non-argument, but at least people know that you don't care now.

Locking a brand to a static image and where a specific set of riders are at what stage in their life doesn't make sense for any brand. Baker has Jacopo, Rowan, Kader, AR (one of the best of all time), Figgy still kills it and has a market, and they've had hype around them for 20 years. They're not the Baker 3 dudes, but they're not trying to be and to me it's a better brand because their footage, videos, and boards are more interesting. They all skate and hang together and went from a stoner idea to a huge distro.

Deathwish put out a "better" video in terms of difficulty and gnar for sure. To me they have a less coherent image. Foy would be a better fit on a jock team like Real, Delfino is bonkers but fits AH better, and as I go through the mental list it seems they're forcing "good" riders to be an alt super team. They don't have a back catalog a fraction of the depth of Baker and their art direction seems to migrate.

So no, they are not comparable. They're not trying to be either. I care enough to reply, but it's just a stupid argument to be having. Brands evolve and go through phases, Baker has enough clout to easily bring on a few more dope riders and put out a video that is one for the ages.

wonder if that is a brand decision to have a girl slot on each team and thats maybe why Aori isnt fully on?
Victoria has some great styles and Elissa has had some fantastic outfits over the years
i feel like the men on the team fashion has been lacking lately beisdes Jake Hayes. the rest of the guys do not look dateable at all besides maybe Rowan. Kirby looking pretty good too actually especailly if he smiles a bit more. Jon Dickson seems like he has went in the opposite direction I thought he was looking pretty good early on. some men age like a fine wine like ellington, others do not like dollin 

its funny for how mcuh they are all seemingly into fashion aside from a few of them, Baker / Deathwish really cant make clothes to save their life. they always try all these off brands like supra, krew, altamont etc. greco and ellington have all these weird shoe companies going on, and they have all failed as far as i can tell or are just some limited run bullshit. clothing manufacturers will always have skateboarders by the balls it seems

Kader probably has the most following + hype out of everyone on the entire team right now besides Foy. ppl will remember him for a long time you cant deny that. he has put out some pretty sick stuff too. him and rowan had the most memorable stuff on the baker video.

Kirby one of my favorite skaters on the squad but he is not as well known as those other guys but i think he will be in time, same with Pedro Delfino.

realized i forgot figgy on the list, id put him A tier. also forgot T Funk, I feel like he is B+ i just havent seen enough of his footage, ppl seem to like him though so could be A.

Probably the best part in Baker 4 tbh, was a huge surprise. Hadn't really seen much from him before (after baker 3), and haven't seen anything since, because of that I'm not sure I would rank him so high. Def rad though.

Not in a way that is undeserved, just in the sense that he’s every 15-18 year old skater I run into’s favorite pro.
