I remember some years back watching this part and being stoked that a newer pro like Nick Trapasso was rocking Half Cabs. I thought maybe they were going to disappear from the Vans catalogue. In my experience, the Half Cab Pros from around 2009-2010 were the best iteration of that shoe. They had the perfect shape and support.

Had to go rewatch it (like I needed a reason) as I thought he was more often in Eras or Slip Ons, but sure enough, even at 1:50 where it is just him sitting down, they look like some that I had, white trim and white tongue tag, came with black laces...

I agree with you. I also have the feeling that the toes point upward in them, unlike other Vans (e.g. the Chimas).

I believe I read something from Mark Oblow that all the footage in Barcelona (and probably the Mexico footage by the look of the wallie at 02:30 in half cabs) was all vans with the labels cut off because Gravis didn't have their skate shoes made yet. Ironic because I think he left Vans for Gravis haha. By the end of the part however you see his pro high top and slip on Gravis models being skated.
